Hungary's Christian-Influenced Constitution (Theonomy Applied)
Theonomy Resources ^ | DECEMBER 25, 2012

On April 25, 2011, Hungary adopted a new constitution titled "The Fundamental Law of Hungary," which took effect January 1, 2012.

This constitution, while not entirely Christian, does include several biblical principles of civil government, as well as statements explicitly acknowledging both God and Christianity's important impact on the nation.

In aspects of the constitution (see excerpts below), one sees a marked difference between Hungary's direction and America's direction. While American law denigrates marriage, the family, the helpless (especially the unborn), church/state cooperation, Christianity's national influence, and God, Hungarian law does just the opposite.

If this progress continues, expect some GREAT blessings to fall upon Hungary. Sadly, we can expect just the opposite here in Obama's America!

Yep. Hopefully, Hungary understands the ideology which destroyed their freedoms in the 20th century. Worldview matters. Culture matters.

To return to Christianity is what will save all of Europe and Hungary is going in the right direction-—.

Our Rights come from the Judeo-Christian God (in USA) and it is still in the principles of the Constitution. People should understand that NO ONE has the power to remove their God-Given Rights-—but God. (That includes all Amendments).

Without Virtue, there is no Freedom (all Founders, Greek Masters, Cicero, etc.). Without God, there can be no Rule of Law (Means there is a Higher Law than man-made-up arbitrary laws which are unconstitutional).

We have a Republic ruled by Just Laws-—Unjust laws (not based on Right Reason according to Nature) are Null and Void-—stated by John Marshall and many Justices and again at Nuremberg Trials. It is our duty to refuse to obey Unjust Laws.

(2) The State and Churches shall be separate. Churches shall be autonomous. The State shall cooperate with the Churches for community goals.

Perhaps, IOW to "promote the general welfare."

Unfair. Hungary's actions regarding the Jews were certainly less than perfect, but from Wikipedia:

"Most Jews in Hungary were protected from deportation to German extermination camps for the first few years of the war. However from the start of German occupation in 1944, Jews and Roma were deported to the Auschwitz Birkenau Concentration and Extermination Camp."

"In August 1944, Horthy replaced Sztójay with the anti-Fascist General Géza Lakatos. Under the Lakatos regime, acting Interior Minister Béla Horváth ordered Hungarian gendarmes to prevent any Hungarian citizens from being deported. The Germans were unhappy with the situation, but could not do a great deal about it. Horthy's actions thus bought the Jews of Budapest a few months of time."
