“West as Speaker would be priceless, and it would take the democrats favorite weapon of race off the table.”

Hahahaha! Any republican is by definition not authentic.

Who gives a Damn about that insignificant amount of chump change when our very Nation’s existence is at stake? You can’t be serious, right?

Sequestration, the worst case scenario, meant an automatic increase in the debt ceiling coupled with $200b in tax increases and spending cuts per year. It's hard to see the Dems agreeing to anything bigger than sequestration. Meaning that either way (i.e. sequestration or the just-passed bill), the real problem - excessive spending - doesn't get addressed. Whomever becomes Speaker, Obama is still the President and the Dems still have a majority in the Senate. Note also that West lost his district in 2012, meaning his political skills aren't exactly sterling. If he can't win over a district in FL, how is he going to win over the nation's electorate? Ultimately, the people who voted for the politicians who passed the 1965 immigration bill are to blame for this disaster, but its effects aren't reversible at this point.

Neither were some pathetic voters sadly. they wante idiot romney and so they have only themselves to blame for the election loss. And they have temselves to blame for not voting for Murdoch and Akin among others in states that went for Romney and they did not give us the senate. Shame on these fake traitor voters.

Did you forget he lost his election?

***********

It won’t happen even though the Speaker doesn’t have to be from the elected group. The House hasn’t ever elected someone that wasn’t currently an elected member of the House to that position and isn’t going to start tomorrow. JMO.

West lost the election, in a redistricted area. Want him to win, put him in a more favorable district.

**************

West got something like 8,000 less votes than did Romney in St. Lucie and Martin counties. Had West just done something like 2,000 votes better he’d have won.

“Even if true, arrangements would have to be made for a salary and benefits. “

West as Speaker of the House would be worth the cost of every worthless congressman’s salary combined.

Electing Allen West as speaker has a lot more value for America than shot waves. He is one of the few people not intimidated by the media and is willing to stand up to Obama. In my opinion he would be an excellent choice and would give leadership and courage to a ravaged and disjointed (R) majority.

Ironically, some of his greatest potential might lie in the fact that he is not an elected member of congress and doesn't have to kiss butt everyday worrying about his bid for reelection.

Sadly, no, it wouldn't. Just remember how they treated Clarence Thomas, and still do, for that matter.

Bravo and brilliantly stated! My sentiments, exactly! How about Sarah Palin or Thomas Sowell or Victor Davis Hanson or Mark Levin or Michelle Bachman or Bill Whittle?

So much talent. So little courage and imagination!

He was there and helped curb the Clinton era spending, of which Clinton is now trying to take full credit for, but if it hadn’t been for the republicans stopping a lot of the spending, Clinton’s legacy would be different.
