Source please. You mentioned that Obama offered cuts in benefits. Boehner's Plan B was not meant to be the deal he did or did not reach with Obama. And even if Plan B had passed, Harry Reid said it would not even be a given a vote in the Senate.

From everything I have seen or heard, Obama refused to discuss any cuts in the entitlement programs and he certainly wanted nothing to do with changes to SS.
