Well... It's not really that for me... It's just that I own and operate a retail gun store and can't get more than 30 seconds between phone calls and front counter customers. Not complaining at all - it's just the reality of the situation.

You’re all going to love this. I am a teacher in NC and our school, which is on an early release schedule is on a Code Blue in Transition as I type, which means we have a potential threat that has either been phoned in or manifested itself somehow. There is currently a police presence walking around in the building, while we teachers and the few students that are here (many have either taken the day off or gone home—it’s really nothing more than an exam make-up day) are sitting in rooms behind locked doors and just riding out the day.
I have already informed my students of our (feeble) plan of defense (huddle in the darkened classroom as if we are not home) and, should someone barge in, I will try to lash out at them with my 3 hole punch!
All, in all, quite a day of learn...er...whatever.
I can see how some would be offended, but it certainly makes one think deeply about a number of things.
Most Americans have no desire to wake up. Or to think, for that matter. They just want quick fixes for percieved problems, and to be congratulated each time they repeat the regime’s talking points, and to feel good thereby.

Please permit me to double down here: How in [deleted] can the citizens of this nation be held to laws that the corrupt criminals in the U.S. Senate and House of “Representatives” HAVE EXEMPTED THEMSELVES FROM?
Answer me that you [deleted] in congress!
Great question; one that I’ve been asking for many, many of my 63yrs, and have never gotten an answer.
