Bob Beckel on Fox news asked yesterday, "Why does anyone need an "assault rifle"?
I thought...Why does anyone need a 900 HP muscle car?...they could drive an East German wondercar like the Trabant or a Yaris or some other meager means of transport which aren't so "wasteful and dangerous". Why is there 1st class seating on airliners? Why are there multi CPU, overclocked computers when a plain vanilla Dell would be adequate?
I know you could come up with many more examples like this.
There are many choices we have the privledge to make because we live in this wonderful country. Some of the choices are wasteful, frivolous or dangerous to some. One of the choices we have is the weapon we choose. Whether it's for sport or protection...it's our choice...like many things in our life. You know...."assault weapons" are not Automatic weapons...they are the same mechanically as some hunting rifles with just a change in the stock design...with maybe a pistol grip added. They look more dangerous to these communists in the house and senate so they want to get rid of them. Most don't know a thing about firearms.
We have, and enjoy owning all types of guns because we are Americans and have freedom of choice. It would be wrong to take guns away from good and lawful people. You know the criminals won't give up there's. This is just another lie from the left.
Should I ever be assaulted, it would be extremely useful to have an assault rifle to defend myself against the assault.
Don’t go there. Why would anyone need anything other than a 18th century front stuffer? It’s not about “need.” Nothing in the Bill of Rights deals with “need.” It’s a constitutional right. Don’t like it? Let’s put it all on the table. Call for a constitutional convention.
To defend themselves against an assailant who might just have one.
