Republicans Can Learn Something from a State Where Obama Lost ALL 77 COUNTIES...

In the recent presidential election, Barack Obama lost every single county in Oklahoma (Utah and West Virginia, too)...
what do they know that we don't?
Well, early in Obama's first term Oklahoma passed a state law to incarcerate all illegal immigrants. Oklahoma House Bill 1804 was passed against the advice of the Federal Government and ACLU, they said it would be 'a mistake'. Naturally, the number of illegals in the state plummeted ever since...
The state also passed a law -SB 1102- to include DNA samples from any and all illegals to the Oklahoma database for criminal investigative purposes. Nancy Pelosi said it was 'unconstitutional', but the good people of Oklahoma
could give a rat's ass what she purports to think.
The straight-up standing legislature also declared Oklahoma a sovereign state, and thereby not subservient to Federal Government directives/mandates.
The Obama Administration is clearly no friend of the 2nd Amendment, and has made bold steps towards taking-away our guns. Yet in 2009, Oklahoma passed a law confirming people in the state have the right to bear arms and transport them in their vehicles.
Also that year OK lawmakers passed a bill that demands ALL driver's license exams will be printed in English -and only English- no other language. They have been called 'racist' for doing this, but the fact is that ALL of the road signs are in English only... duh
My kinda people out there in Oklahoma...

Enough with the Communist Red colors.

Oklahoma is a nice Conservative shade of BLUE.

So I wonder what’s up with that d-—head Rep. Tom Cole who is leading the charge for congressional Republicans to cave on Obama’s tax hikes?
“The well-respected conservative Tom Cole,” the media is now calling him.
Pull a Benedict Arnold on your constituents and your country and the media grants you immediate ‘respect’.

Perhaps his point is that the State of Oklahoma did not cave to conservative principles, and have managed to remain conservative?

I hit post too quickly.
That should read: Perhaps his point is that the State of Oklahoma did not cave to liberals to abandon their conservative principles, and have managed to remain conservative?

Both sides of my family are from Oklahoma. Good goin', Okies.
And, by the way, the University of Oklahoma plays football against two teams that put up two fingers and chant, "We're Number One! We're Number One!" One is the University of Southern California. The other is the University of Texas. Must be that new math they teach in both states.

Instead of constantly trying to woo democrats by promoting their agenda, chase them out of your state. Make welfare hard to get. Reform voting laws to require voting on election day with valid id and clear out the voter roles. Stop letting democrats count votes behind closed doors.
Control who votes rather than waste time wooing people who are never going to share your vision or values.

Only 12 of 67 counties in the state of Pennsylvania went Obame yet we are called a blue state. I would like to see a red/blue US map by county not by state.

Hmmm. A 24 - 25 year average that only spans from 1981 to 2005. So, the years between the founding of Oklahoma and 1980, and the seven years since 2005 are not accounted for. I’m unable to accurately assess your point considering the amount of missing data.

It would be interesting to see what the genesis of blue/democrat, blue/republican was. It probably is no coincidence, as the connection between red/communism is obvious.

“harping”
???
This is the first time I’ve brought it up.
If the majority of people in OK are not in favor of being reliant on the Federal government they have the voting power to put in politicians that will refuse the extra federal money . . . but they don’t.
Anecdote time: Years ago when I lived in NH we had a pretty bad week of snow. People kept urging the town council to request government funds to help clean it up. Our town council basically said, “It’s NH, it snows. We can handle it ourselves.” So it is possible for politicians to turn down federal aid.

The fed money flows despite of how the people of OK feel about it.

If federal welfare payments are the drivers then maybe it needs to be asked why are so many people needing welfare in conservative states?

I know exactly when it was. Election Night 2000. But the Stupid Party being what it is, they refused to repudiate the Orwellian Newsspeak relabelling of the party colors. No Conservative party on the planet has “red” for its color. It’s the international color for leftism/totalitarianism, always has been. Soviet Russia, Red China, Nazi Germany, et al. Every time I hear or read someone refer to a Conservative state as a “Red” state, I want to slap them upside the head. Trained like good little media seals.

Thanks Joe,
Looking at that map why is Obama president?
Looks to me like the majority of this country did not want him back.
