The Deconstructed Presidency has been. Deal with it.
Kenny Bunk ^ | 12/03/2012 | Kenny Bunk

The key to understanding Barack Hussein Obama is that he does nothing.

This proposition is at the heart of a grave misapprehension of this Presidency. An American might be forgiven for feeling that a contribution to the common good is based on performance; productivity, some meaningful place in a functioning enterprise that fulfills one and contributes to the furtherance of some cause, or to one’s family and thus to God. What we cannot be forgiven for is continually attempting to apply this now remarkable cultural artifact; this mindset, to this Presidency.

For example, the airwaves resonate as the right-wing talkers decry Obama policies. They ought to wise up. By now the yakkers ought to have realized that there are no policies. There is nothing. That, as hard as it may be to grasp, is by design.

Pundits tirelessly discuss one event after another as it relates to Obama. ”He did this. He did that.” He does nothing. Neither does it take long. His “working” hours are far shorter than even those notorious shirkers Clinton and JFK. (Clinton especially understood the concept of nothingness.) Presidents used to, sometimes vaguely to be sure, campaign on proposed policy, perhaps trying to give voters some idea of their ability to perform; to work toward achieving the result of those policies by personal accomplishment.

Please, all those in opposition to Obama, forget about that. Those days are gone.

Nothing is the key.
Barack Hussein Obama holds an office, but the office certainly doesn’t hold him, or hold him accountable. Consider recent history.
For some 18 months, Obama’s irregular attendance days in Washington were invariably spent in his “den.” It is a room in the White House equipped with multiple big-screen TV’s always tuned to various ESPN broadcasts, and also used to replay recorded commentary by loyal media outlets. The President was not alone in this “Den.” On most days, he was accompanied in his trivial pursuits by a live-in friend and constant companion, Mr. Reggie Love. Intrusions from the outside world were and still are reported by Valerie Jarrett, orchestrating, evaluating, and above all filtering stimuli from sources like David Axelrod, Cabinet members, or “Czars.” There is no question of performance. The machine doesn’t need it. Set on “spin,” all it need do is react or not react to events in a way that enhances a projected image.

(This pattern of course continues, although there has been a personnel change at the White House in that Mr. Reggie Love was whisked out of town very early in the campaign,as sordid details from his former life were simultaneously suppressed by a most cooperative media. It would be surprising if even 2% of those who voted for Obama had even heard of “Reggie Love.”)

In this completely deconstructed Presidency,Barack Hussein Obama does nothing for the very good reason that whether anyone on this planet does anything or not, events will occur. In Obama-world, events occur, too. But do those who practice the “Nothing” approach, the nature of the events matters not a whit.

For Team Obama, it is what happens after the event
before which Obama did nothing.
That concept goes a long way toward explaining the success of this presidency in maintaining and increasing its power. For example, as he watched events in Benghazi unfold on live television, by a careful calculus of design, he did precisely nothing.

The President and his team know that after any event has occurred, any event can be managed in such a way that the President gets: (a) credit for handling it properly; (b) is credited with a successful outcome no matter what happened; (c) because what happened has absolutely nothing to do with it. It even does not matter whether the events are “positive,” or “negative.” If the event is “negative,” in some way, a s was for example, “Benghazi,” blame may be directed away from the President, and others will be seen to own the “problem.” Repeat: “The President gets: (a) credit for handling it properly; (b) is credited with a successful outcome no matter what happened; (c) because what happened or didn’t happen has absolutely nothing to do with it. The President has done nothing.

Nothing being there, the issue is over.

If the situation is serious enough, or if it looks as if there might even be some slight negative consequence to the President, we have seen the deft maneuvers by the Team to: (1) easily cast any “blame” elsewhere; and (2) set up a diversion to accomplish that. “Sandy,” wiped out the littoral of 3 states. FEMA has failed miserably in this disaster that dwarfs New Orleans. Obama do something? Why bother. He has done nothing but has reaped the credit for “addressing the problem.” Many thousands are still power-less. Thousands of families are without shelter. Looting was widespread. So what?

Move on toward the “Fiscal Cliff.” By calculated design, the President has done nothing. There never was a “Budget.” There is no “Administration Plan.” There being nothing, the opposition party is forced to do something, even as they are ridiculed as “obstructionist friends of the wealthy.” “We are not!” They stupidly posture and struggle, as if there were some rational way to counter that claim. The President needs to do nothing. Repeat: He will get: (a) credit for handling it properly; (b) is to be credited with a successful outcome no matter what happens; (c) because what happened has absolutely nothing to do with it. It does not matter whether the events are “positive,” or “negative; blame may be directed away from the President, and others (The Republicans in the Congress) own the “problem.” It is impossible to ”win,” against this disarmingly simple philosophy.

Since any outcome will have many unpleasant effects, the team that does “nothing,” takes the advantage.

Please note that I do not mean to discount the absolute power the Left has in the media. More important, one must never forget the obvious socialist ideology that makes up the greater part of Obama’s scant intellectual baggage. But it is “Deconstruction” that is at the very core of the means chosen by, or more likely for him and has a very specific socialist revolutionary goal. While the means chosen are classically deconstructionist, the day-to-day tactics used to cover the President’s “nothingness” are the battle-proven tactics of the Communist Party as codified in Alinsky’s manuals. Since these are tactics are alien to most of the ordinary “American Experience,” they are devastatingly effective and apparently are never to be understood, appreciated, or much less effectively countered, by what passes for the opposition.

This is also not to say that the do-nothing Obama Administration cannot see events taking shape, either internationally or domestically. However, they very carefully choose to, or make it known that they intend to, do nothing about these events. In that way, they may take immediate advantage of whatever occurs, whether to take credit, cast blame, or ignore entirely. A fine case in point: “The Arab Spring.” The administration takes credit for “democratic reforms.” The crucifixion of Christians or the rape and murder of Americans, including an ambassador are the problems of others. Explanation if required: this administration had nothing to do with them, because obviously they are the result of misguided policies carried out by former administrations.

Of course this, leaves us who may disagree with the goals of the Obama Administration with the problem of effectively countering it. Perhaps the answer lies in applied psychology. Counseling a patient faced in daily life by passive aggression with malignant intent, some therapists might suggest withdrawal. In the context of the “Fiscal Cliff” situation, that might mean adopting a hands-off approach.

Since the consequences of the Republicans “doing nothing” in the House cannot possibly be worse for the country than the consequences of supporting a President who does nothing, but will seek to blame them for anything and everything, perhaps the Republicans should now take a leaf from his book and do precisely the same thing about the “Fiscal Cliff.” Nothing. Leave the man to face the consequences of doing nothing all by himself.

The President has chosen the ground for his battle to socialize the United States very carefully. By doing nothing, he has maneuvered the Republicans into a corner from which they must come out to attack him.

In bull-fighting they called this Matar Recibiendo i.e., lead the bull to impale himself on the staionary matador's sword. Cassius Clay called it "Rope-a-Dope."

Are the Republicans smart enough not to play? It doesn't look good.

I certainly am willing to give him full credit for it, even though I am unable to understand a word.

They tell me it is because I am not supposed to understand it, but those who will vote for him will. It reminds me of SEO, Search engine Optimization. Key words trigger the desired response in believers. The fact that the words when connected don't mean anything doesn't mean anything. The effect works.

Obama was reassured by his master SS Soros that his failed first term guaranteed his reelection in that the Cloward/Piven aspect of his economic incompetence and a half century of Leftist dumb down and entitled mentality indoctrination in academia and the MSN made, as in the Leftist gangbanger crotch grabbing culture, bad “good” achieved what a half century of Soviet Union influence and espionage could not do—socialize America.

If not for the Founders fail-safe 2nd Amendment I would despair.

It’s not about what he says, it’s about how he says it.
Great delivery. He could read the phone book and convince half the voters to elect him.
That and a team skilled at identifying which half he needs to say it to, precinct by voter precinct.

Sort of like that Austrian-born, German politician that we're not supposed to mention.

Very astute, as usual, darlin’. A figment of someone’s imagination acting as a figurehead. Who’d a thunk it?
He doesn’t even speak his own words lest he slip and tell on hisself...which he does when he’s feeling really cool, and then his handlers have to smack him silly so he’ll settle down for a few days.
It’s extremely unfortunate that this empty man was chosen as a representative of the finest black America has to offer because he isn’t and he doesn’t.
Allen West will rise again.

Old enough to remember Jackie Robinson. Imagine what would have happened if Robinson couldn't actually play baseball!

Our esteemed voters have put a guy on the field who can't hit, can't run, and as we all have seen, definitely can't throw!

He sure can watch someone else do it on TV though. Maybe he needs to stay at a Holiday Inn for a few nights.

It seems I do remember the Clinton years as “years of spin”. Every day, either they, or Carville, or some other Clinton representative sashayed out after they’d evidently discussed the subject of “Let’s see; how can we spin this today?” - It was scandal after scandal, suicide or murder after suicide or murder, with either Bill or Hillary involved in one disgraceful scandal after another endlessly. Of course, they blamed it all on the VAST RIGHT WING CONSPIRACY; even Monica Lewinsky was part of that VRWC until - oopsy! - the BLUE DRESS with Clinton’s DNA on it.
The Senate should have backed the House on it and REMOVED his bohunkus from being a “respected” elder statesman; just as the Dhimmicrats did not have one speck of mercy on Richard Nixon when they had a morsel on him.

Doing nothing is a revolutionary battle tactic?

Is there some universe where this makes sense?

On a man-to-man level, Clinton has about 5 times the smarts as the present recumbent, who is as Mesta Machine says, "a figment of someone else's imagination."

However, whoever handles Team Obama has a much greater coaching challenge in that Barry needs much more intensive back-up, which is why he isn't allowed out alone . They also, IMHO, have done a better job on the sex thing. Everyone knows about Monica Lewinsky, but whom have you run into who has even heard of Reggie Love?

Absolutely. We live in one in which Obama just won a second term as a reward for doing a really bad job in his first term.

Obama absolutely plans to do nothing about "Fiscal Cliff." He is simply going to let Boehner and the boys propose a plan or two, ansd then reject them as "favoring the rich." Of course, the country will suffer, and of course it will be the Republicans' Fault. Team Obama is thinking ahead to a class warfare 2014 Midterm to regain Congress.
