The latest cause-celeb of the American-hating liberals, Pfc. Bradley Manning’s defense team is making a half-baked effort on a plea deal on lesser charges. In the deal Pfc. Manning will admit guilt for providing classified materials to the anti-secrecy group WikiLeaks. Manning is responsible for the largest leak of classified material in American History.

Why

The effort to plea to a minor charge is an attempt to dissuade prosecutors from perusing more serious charges against the alleged leaker. To help Manning avoid serving time, the defense team will most likely argue, that since he was mistreated during pre-trial lockup he shouldn’t serve any more time. Once released, Manning will most likely commence a speaking tour of Leftist colleges and will be held up in academic circles as a national hero surpassing the Sainted Daniel Ellsberg. Two hundred years ago he would have been before a firing squad, in the modern era he may well be eligible for a Nobel Prize.

Support Group

The professional protestors, know as Free Bradley Manning National Support Group , are busily at work demanding the freedom of their martyr; maybe they should ask their messiah Barack Obama the pious to free him instead (Since Obama voters are the entitled ones).

Used to be in America a “deal” on a case involving treason and leaking secret material meant the guilty party got to choose his punishment.... Gas Chamber, the Rope or Firing Squad.

There is no way that he accessed all this data on his own. Someone in the Obama Administration made all this possible.

He has all the qualities for Time’s ‘Person of the Year’ award.

If he had just messed with the Pentagon it would be one thing, but he messed with several powerful agencies, including State, the CIA, and possibly even the FBI. This means that he is going down hard. His future residence will almost certainly be ADX Florence, for life.

This little fairy princess sure does cry and whine a lot. How the heck did he ever get in the military?

Manning was, it seems, helped in his leaking by a security company claiming to be a defense contractor run by a former USAF officer. They’re part of Anonymous.

If that was in any way true, Obama would be in a cell by now.

I say use a rope, that can be put to other uses after the hanging. Cyanide and bullets are too expensive, and he is not worth that much.

I prefer the Communist Chinese Method. One bullet and bill the parents for expenses.

I think if he’d come in during the 1980s....they would have sat down in boot camp or during his technical training phase and admitted that he just couldn’t make it, and let him go. Because of the need for more troops....they’ve eased standards.

The Air Force had this young lady who’d made it through basic training and was up to the tenth week of technical training, and this odd occurrence came up where she just wasn’t passing tests. They looked at her notes...which were unreadable. Then they asked her....can anyone read this? And she responded with “Wanda”.

The instructor went through the rooster of folks in the class, and other classes, and there wasn’t any “Wanda”.

So the instructor asked who was this “Wanda” and the young lady pointed to a unmanned table in the room...where “Wanda” sat. It was her imaginary friend. The instructor and his captain ran quickly up to the commander. The commander comes back to the room....asks three or four questions, and asks the young lady and the instructor to come with him to the base hospital. She was discharged within two weeks.

If she had just passed this test phase....she would have gone on. For months and years....maybe an entire career....she would have had this imaginary friend going with her...even into combat.

'Because of the need for more troops....they’ve eased standards.'

Yes, they have. It has hurt us in many different ways.

SPC Morlock.

PFC Bradley Manning

PFC Steven Greene.

All 'moral' waivers prior to entering the military. This isn't WWII where we need bodies.

In the old days, Manning would have been laughed out of the recruiting station.

This entire episode was a total systemic failure and a prime example of why allowing homosexuals in the military is a bad idea. The larger culprits in this affair remain “unindicted”, only to escape their share of the punishment that will rightly fall upon Manning.

I'm no shrink, but it sounds like she was starting to "present" with schizophrenia. It usually strikes people of E-1 age; maybe it was triggered by the stress of basic. Hopefully, once she started hearing voices, letting her hygiene go etc. someone would have noticed.

Heck, I don't know but I do know this: He should've been SHOT for TREASON and buried 6 feet under long ago.

Does anyone know how many of our Military's or Intelligence Personnel have lost their lives because of this POC?

I can’t believe that the little princess was whining that the mean men kept him in a “cage”. What the hell does he think jails are all about. That’s where we normally keep our criminals.
