TV Station KOB Smears Israel, Distorts Truth About Hamas Terrorism Against Israel
War to Mobilize Democracy ^ | 11/16/2012 | netWMD Staff

A local television station, KOB-TV, posted a "news" story today entitled, "Local group to protest U.S. aid to Israel in light of Gaza bombings." Just look at the loaded wording of the title. From KOB's standpoint, Israel is the sole perpetrator of bombings against Gaza. KOB makes no mention of the fact that Gaza is ruled by terrorists whom are constantly attacking Israel. This was not a news story at all; it was pure opinion, and a complete distortion of fact -- anti-Israeli and possibly anti-Semitic. This is the entire article from KOB:

A local group will meet Friday at UNM for a protest they are calling "The Albuquerque Protest to stop Israel's War Against Gaza."

The group will meet at 5 p.m. at the UNM Bookstore at Central and Cornell.

The group says it is calling for the end of all U.S. aid to Israel in light of the recent missile assault against Gaza.

Stay with KOB for updates on this story.

This is it: No sources, no opposing viewpoints, and no context about the conflict in which rocket attacks are occurring. There is no mention that Gaza is ruled by Hamas, designated by the U.S. Department of State as a, "Foreign Terrorist Organization." KOB makes no mention the fact that:

Since Israel withdrew from the Gaza Strip in 2005, terrorists have fired more than 8,000 rockets into Israel. Over one million Israelis are currently living under threat of rocket attacks.

In 2011 alone, 630 rockets from Gaza hit Israeli towns. That's an even higher number than in 2010, when 231 rockets hit Israel. Since 2001, more than 12,800 rockets and mortars, an average of 3 attacks every single day, have landed in Israel.

Hamas terrorists just hit Israel's capital, Jerusalem, and its largest city, Tel Aviv, with rockets, killing 3 Israelis. KOB didn't mention that today, President "Obama reiterate[d] support for Israel's right to defend itself." The TV station didn't bother to mention that also today, "Both Houses of the U.S. Congress unanimously passed resolutions expressing support for Israel's 'inherent right to act in self-defense.'"

What would KOB say if Washington, D.C. were hit with terrorist-fired rockets? KOB made no mention of the fact that normal Albuquerque residents, not extremists, are holding a rally in support of Israel at the Jewish Community Center on Monday, November 19 at 6 PM entitled, "We stand with the people of Israel and the soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces." (For pro-Israel event info, call 505-821-3214.)

Notice that the title of the pro-Israel rally is not a biased, loaded anti-Palestinian slogan, while the pro-Palestinian rally's title finds Israel guilty without trial.

Please contact KOB and remind them how slanted and anti-Israel their article was, and remind them of the poor quality of their reporting:

And we would expect anything else? According to the Bible, Israel will be rejected and condemned by all in the end times scenario.

Just an example of how ignorant the Muslims in Gaza are: About four km north of Gaza is a small area called Ashkelon, which is a common target for terrorist rockets. The only problem is that Gaza gets its water, power and fuel from Ashkelon. It’s a good thing they’re terrible shots!

I'm not surprised at all. This station airs the Jim Villanuchi (sic?) talk radio show who does the voices of his own callers.... and stumped for Gary Johnson! Nicole Brady is the niece of her predecessor (nepotism). Just another day in the land of manana.

700,000 people and it still can be a real hick/manana town.
