That is mostly true within the family, and in the personal zone. But in politics they are the children, ruled over for centuries by a Patron, a monarch, etc. They have no tradition of regular people truly controlling the government the way we do. They are very very happy with an oligarchy as long as they think the oligarchy likes them.
BUt that is the mentality of MEXICAN citizens here illegally, who are not supposed to be voters.
The voters who hurt us are Americans. Hispanic Americans. FAR too often, they are racist. Their main loyalty is to foreigners of the same race over America.
There are a group of the Mexican immigrants who have no patriotism toward the USA. They are all about Mexico only and US be dammed.
