The saddest part is, just like Clinton, his personal failures will overshadow what might otherwise have been a stellar legacy. Many have stated that Petraeus was the greatest military commander since Eisenhower, but now he will be remembered for just being another guy who cheated on his wife and got caught.
If i recall correctly, Eisenhower had a mistress as well, but nobody found out about it until after his passing. does it change what he accomplished during his life? Not one bit. Comparing Clinton to Petraeus goes too far. Yes, Petraeus acted foolishly. But when confronted with his failure He acted honorably. Clinton Argued ad infinitum about the meaning of the word "is" and repeatedly lied. Big difference
