Another factor in the drug and medical device layoffs is ambulance chasing lawyers. They are reviewing the published side effects to drugs and medical devices, advertising for people who have experienced them and then suing the companies. We have a lawyer here in Louisville who is going after dialysis providers. The result of which is that it is harder and harder to find dialysis here. This means people will die needlessly.I know people who used to work for BSC Urology. The division was eliminated due to frivilous lawsuits.

Really not a surprise since it used to be an old A&P, and a new Price Chopper is going into a new shopping center buy UConn.

I won't blame ZERO for that closing!! I'll blame GU management (who should get jobs in the 0 administration, because they are worse than O!)

I work for a large corporation with several divisions. Mine is in the PetroChemical industry, suppling and manufacturing parts for it. We’ve been laying off people for about 6 weeks now and I do not believe it is ending soon. We’ve lost roughly 10 to 15% of our employees.We atrated with approx 90 at my facility and have lost about a dozen.I am in Texas, which is supposedly a safer place to be than most, but it is happening here now.(The Corporation is on the East Coast, however).
