Discretionary spending...NOW!
11-9-12 | Me

Posted on 11/09/2012 5:26:58 AM PST by SMARTY

I am sure you’ll get a kick out of this.

There is a big push around here to get us to contribute to United Way… their annual coercion to make us ‘give’.

Let me see if I get this right:

Americans just elected a guy whose party has ALWAYS screamed:

‘The government can spend your money better then you can, get more out of your money than you can, provide more efficiently for the needy and disabled, assure that EVERYONE gets his/her fair share, etc…. and on and on’!!!

NOW they think, after they virtually enabled the government to rape us, we will have ANYTHING left over for a charity of our OWN choosing?!!!

Did I get that right… I need to CONTINUE to GIVE?!!

HOW? Where will the extra money come from?

Heck...even the charity that I always give to will get short shrift this go around... let "O" do what he promised with what he can get!

THREE WORDS:

ELECTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES!

I “O” thinks HE can have my income on demand, then let HIM and the vampires in HIS adm. work it out! I’m skinned.

NO MORE DISCRETIONARY SPENDING OUT OF ME FOR FOUR MORE YEARS!

Any other suggestions about what we will do with our REMAINING resources?

1) Stockpile food

2) Buy a rifle, a handgun, and a minimum of 2K round for each

3) Time is a resource; use it to become politically active within your community, and then grow that movement across your state.

Last night I was talking with our neighbor who is an independent consultant of some sort. He does VERY well financially.

Yesterday he fired his personal accountant because the accountant voted for Obama. He said he has an appointment next week with his Lawyer and if he suspects he, too, voted for jug ears, he’s gone too.

He is checking his doctor, dentist, hair dresser, cable co, wireless co and every other business he uses and will cut ties to as many obama/dem supporters as he can.

He was really on a roll last night...I’d be banned for life if I posted what he called Obama.

I agree I am done helping others. If I am forced to feed, clothe, buy contraception, and phones for my neighbors, I see no reason I should voluntarily do more.

My response to anyone asking for my money will be ‘ask Obama’.

I bet all the panhandlers in big cities were driven to the polls with their ballots pre-filled. Hope that puts food in their bellies and roof over their heads.

"With out remaining resources"

Pork and beans. Canned and by the case.

Water filtration systems, ammo (get some airguns too; for those of you not used to eating squirrel, prepare to get used to it because price of meat is going to skyrocket) medical supplies.

I don't anticipate some kind of doomsday scenario, rather those items being restricted to the point of inaccessability, so lay in what you can, while you can.

Our slow, depressed, monotonous slide (accelerating now) into a weak, taxed, tyrranized banana republic continues.

I hate to say it but I am now siding with Mr. Scrooge’s attitude, “Are there no prison’s?”

I’m actually thinking about making a sign for the exit-ramp beggars: “I paid my taxes, go ask Obama for help.”

After the last election, a girl came up to me outside the grocery and asked for money.

That’s what I said: “Ask Obama”

Much as I hate to say it, that may be my response to Santa ringing the bell this year, too.

My goodwill and charity have been spent. But then I stopped donating to the the United Way after their row about not wanting to support the boy scouts. I have no use for those who have systematically destroyed this country and are now hell bent on looting anything left of it.

It’s a shame, but “O” and his friends are going to have to learn the hard way just how much Americans have BEEN contributing to charities all along... and how much HE will have to compensate for now that he has made it impossible for us to continue showing charity!!

I have avoided the United Way EVERY time it’s been put in front of me. I will ALWAYS determine where, when, and to whom I will make charitable donations. I don’t need some bureaucratic ‘mini-me’ hitting me up for money, and then distributing it without my advice or consent.

Nope...count me out on the United Way scam.

In Fiscal Year 2011, the federal government collected $2.303 trillion in tax revenue. Interest on the debt that year totaled $454.4 billion, and mandatory spending totaled $2,025 billion. In sum, mandatory spending plus debt interest totaled $2.479 trillion… exceeding total revenue by $176.4 billion.

For Fiscal Year 2012 which just ended 37 days ago, that shortfall increased 43% to $251.8 billion.

In other words, they could cut the entirety of the Federal Government’s discretionary budget– no more military, SEC, FBI, EPA, TSA, DHS, IRS, etc.– and they would still be in the hole by a quarter of a trillion dollars.

The US government is legally bound to spend more money on mandatory entitlements and interest than it can raise in tax revenue. It won’t make a difference how high they raise taxes, or even if they cut everything else that remains in government as we know it.

~~ Simon Black sovereignman dot com

“If you look at the numbers and the way pure democracy works, pure democracy is dangerous. The majority dictates against the minority. Right now the majority are receiving a check. That is why people were sort of surprised with these conditions that the president could get reelected. That is a bad sign in that there are more on the receiving end.

People do not want anything cut. They want all the bailouts to come. They want the Fed to keep printing money. They do not believe we of gone off the cliff or are close to going off the cliff. They think we can patch it over, that we can somehow come up with a magic solution. You cannot have a budgetary solution if you do not change what the role of government should be. As long as you think we have to please the world and run this welfare state, all we will argue about is who will get the loot. “

Ron Paul

I always remember how, after college, and between jobs, I volunteered at the local UW office. Answering phones, etc.

A job opening came up and I applies. The job went to some doctor’s wife who didn’t even live in our county.

They paid her handsomely so she’d have a place to get dressed up and go to every day! She began promptly at 10:00 a.m. and walked around with a cup of coffee until lunch... and as far as I could tell, LUNCH was her religion

There needs to be a patriotic deductible charity so those who need it can get a tax break and send money there rather than to the demo-whores in stalingrad (aka washington dc)

Media watch comes to mind. Any others?

Otherwise, I am not spending any money ANYWHERE unless it’s a vital necessity.

Doesn’t matter about Obama, don’t give to international charities period. The tooth to tail ratio on their charitable spending is horrible and international relief organizations have been scammed for years.

Donate to the Salvation army, or Disabled American Veterans.

Charity organizers should not be a lucrative job.

United Way is not what they seem, they siphon off most of the funds they collect and VERY LITTLE actually makes it to any meaningful and needy initiative. Such is true for many fundraising entities using the heart strings feel good model (Cancer, animals etc.)

Typically less than 15% of the collected funds actually are used for the “intended” effort

These are facts and to me it is evil to participate in many of them as they are in the business of collecting you money for their own gain

Ask the next time they call for info on how much actually makes it out, bet they will stumble every time

Local churches help those in need also. Keep charity as close to home as you can. The churches may have a better idea of who is in need due to circumstances beyond their control vs those in need due to life choices they have made.

My employer was relentless in the United way campaigns. I think they owners have gotten the message as the push isn’t quite as intense as it used to be.
