(1) The party fired Mike Steele even though he'd presided over the greatest electoral win in 70 years (in 2010).
(2) Preibus, whatever he did, and he did some damaging things to several candidates down ticket, also presided over the Romney debacle.
(3) Ordinarily even those who only preside are rewarded when the party wins. Imagine what we should do with those who presided over a loss.
That's what we have to do with Preibus ~ if only to encourage future RNC Chairmen to get their act together.
Now, who else needs dumped? Well, we could start with every single individual there at the RNC who voted for Preibus. Their state committees should be encouraged to dump them out of Republican politics! That way we solve the Preibus problem root and branch.
I'd dump Gillespie as well. He contributes nothing to victory.

About 40% more people show up for this type of election as compared to a mid-term congressional election.
Redistricting frequently involves consolidating some polling places and creating new ones in other locations.
That's why so many voters are surprised when they show up to vote and there's this huge crowd.
The folks who show up at nearly empty polling spots that'd usually been overcrowded are only pleasantly surprised.
Being pleasantly surprised is not news. You didn't hear about that.
His predecessor, Lugar, would have continued to be the senior ranking Republican in the Senate, and with a Republican majority he'd been naming committee chairmen.
With Lugar out, Orin Hatch, the senior senator from Utah would have been the senior Republican senator in a Republican organized senate.
Outside interests came to Indiana with the money to finance Mourdock's primary race. Did they stick around to finance Mourdock's campaign in the general election, or were they just happy enough to put their boy Hatch in the catbird's seat?
Well, that was a big risk wasn't it ~ and the risk takers lost, but so did Mourdock, and the entire Republic will probably go down the drain simply because "they" wanted Hatch to be the senior senator with all the power that goes with that exalted position ~
Frankly I didn't support Lugar because he's clearly become a drooler ~ and the Senate is oversubscribed to that custom.
Akins and Murdoch’s problems were not that they were social conservatives. Their problems were their tongues flapping without engaging their brains. They made totally unpalatable statements that became huge soundbites for their opposition.
It doesn’t take a great brain to say simply “my religion leads me to respect all life as sacred until we have these issues decided by elected legislatures and not by unelected judges. I’m a great believer in “due process of law.”

I voted for Cruz and Goode. But I know plenty of other conservatives who stayed home rather than vote for Romney. It didn’t cost him here in Texas, but it did in other places of the country.
That's why I say electronic voting machines should be outlawed in ALL elections..................
When the RNC announced they were cutting off Akin and Mourdock and Akin and Mourdock only - that was a disaster. They cut their own throats. The result - lowered turnout.
Had the RNC stood behind their nominees and did their job - the Republican party would have won this election.
Akin and Murdock aren’t the first ever candidates ever to say something stupid or misspeak during a campaign. They won’t be the last. Cutting off your own candidate is a self-defeating strategy. Best just to have the guy apologize for not saying what he really meant.
Joe Biden said there’s not one day he’s been proud to be the running mate of Obama. Shouldn’t he be allowed to correct that to what he really meant?
