Evangelicals plunge America into darkness – mislead polls and stay home on Election Day

The experts are wringing their hands trying to figure out why Romney didn’t win, but now we know: the 14 million missing voters from Romney’s column are Evangelicals.

Evangelical Christians may not be evil people, but they helped an evil president become an evil dictator on Tuesday. The exact numbers aren’t in but clearly the vast majority of Evangelicals stayed home on Election Day.

They weren’t dealing with a storm or a personal family emergency. They stayed home because they made a conscious decision to allow our Marxist enemy to continue ruining our lives rather than have Mormon Mitt Romney as our president.

They draw their grounds for such a twisted thought from their interpretation of the Bible which they take literally – except of course for the part about handling poisonous snakes – that’s where a more modern interpretation of Scripture takes hold.

The Evangelicals’ hatred of Romney burns so brightly it blinded them. Self- flagellation and a willingness to aid and abet a clear enemy became preferable to them – consequences be damned.

Evangelicals profess to be pro-life against Gay “marriage” for religious freedom a strong protective bond with Israel and for a strong and effective military yet on Tuesday they stayed away by the millions and imperiled all they say they believe in.

They stood on principle, so they will say, so they hate the Republican Party for nominating Romney as well. They did not even consider the danger they put America in – Romney and the RNC hurt their feelings and they wanted the “revenge” Barack Obama urged.

Skipping the top line for the sake of saving America never occurred to our Evangelical neighbors. If Evangelicals had just done this we would have a Republican Senate and a stronger hold on the House...

Esoteric crap about “Romney not selling conservatism” “having bad staff” is non-sense Obama was weak as a kitten: Evangelicals killed us It wasn’t that Romney didn’t sell conservatism It wasn’t that there was voter fraud or a bias media or condoms or abortions or Chris Christie or anything BUT the Evangelical boycott. They stayed home and sucker punched Romney and conservatism by doing so.

The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country

I’m a Christian who is much disgusted with my fellows. For the most part they support the destructive, hateful, larcenous welfare state. They see this mass of envy, jealousy, covetousness and theft as goodness and light. Somehow they think that Jesus told them to take the golden talents from the man who has five and give them to those who have fewer.
And those who are so spiritual that they are no earthly good.

Thats my take. If Romney would have received the same number of votes that McCain did, he’d have won.

The only Christians that need to be blamed are the ignorant idiots like Todd Akin.

Every Evangelical I know voted with gusto.

This is like facing two muggers, one armed with a pistol, one with a water gun. Standing there with an 870 and unloading the entire tube on the one with the water pistol.

The question is would Romney have wone with the Evangelical turnout? Clearly he could have carried Virginia, Florida, and Ohio, but he still needed one more. There aren’t enough Evangelicals in CO, NV or NH to make the difference. There are a lot of Evangelicals in IA, but the gap was pretty large.

Was the gap too large in PA?

The lack of Evangelical enthusiasm certainly cost the largest 3 swing states and prevented Romney from running up large numbers in NC, SC, and GA, which were way closer than they should have been, but we still would have only gotten to 266 EVs.

Utter BS.

They didn’t vote for Obama. The common theme at my church was that a pro-life Mormon was better than self-worshipping abortion activist.

Have you counted all the votes? Or is your analysis based on the 90% reported so far.

Probably didn’t vote for him because he is Mormon.

Blaming the Evangelicals for this loss is a HUGE load of crap. I live in the Bible Belt Buckle and land of large mega Evangelical church's. I do NOT know of a single person that stayed home rather than vote for Romney. I think that Coach Kevin is just looking for a scapegoat. Well, I won't let him.

The Democrats have been rounding up one group after another, by making promises somebody else has to keep. Until the Republican Party starts cultivating Latinos, blacks, Asians, and even Muslims, it will continue to lose elections.
