My opinion is that the Republicans in general and Conservatives in particular either do not or refuse to understand the mindset that is the "squishy middle" out there. As we did with the Muslims in the mid-1970s, we want to think that this group will listen to reasoned arguments and act rationally when the pluses and minuses are added up.
I note a Facebook entry this morning from a friend and former colleague whom I lump into this middle group.

Now back to the more important issues...DWTS, The Voice, RHOBH, and The 49ers!!!! Lol!!!
As long as I've known her, she is quite apolitical, more worried about her aging mother, her struggling daughter and her upcoming wedding than the impending "Fiscal Cliff", Benghazi or the Arab Spring. Where does she and others like her get their news and views of the world?
How do we remedy this? Or, more precisely, CAN we remedy this? That, my FRiends, is the $16 Trillion (and rising) question!
The answer, if you have the stomach for it, is this: beat them at their own game, using their tactics which as you can see, work.
Get a copy of "Rules for Radicals", use Alinsky tactics.
As a starter, pick the most despicable "jornalist" (actually, propagandist) and make an example of her (Candy Crowley). She obviously lied, intentionally, during the debate to protect "the one". Find out about any think she has done wrong in her life and publicize it on the internet, talk shows, etc. Contact her sponsors, and write letters threatening boycotts, etc. She is not entitled to her propagandist job in the American media. She is poluting the American culture.
"We don't do these things", you might say, "we have principles". This is akin to the British saying, "we fight in the open" against the Americans who fought behind trees and cover. What do you think about this? I am tired of the recriminations, and want to be an activist.
