I have to admit I didn't think I'd be writing this today. I had expected to be writing about how America had woken up and returned to the course of liberty, accountability, and prosperity that made us the greatest nation on earth. Unfortunately, that isn't the case. Instead, the buzz in Realville is "where do we go from here?"
I think the first thing that has to be addressed is the turnout, reported to be 14 million voters lower than in '08. That's a little hard to process, when you consider the enormous crowds that Romney and Ryan were drawing at rallies, ironically in states that ultimately went blue. After thinking about that a little bit, I've come to the conclusion that, as motivated as those engaged in conservative politics were to remove Barack Obama from office, the Romney/Ryan campaign never really connected with the core voters who were needed to get them over the top. Was the problem Romney's failure to adequately use the last two debates to hold Obama accountable for the failures of the past four years? Or was it the media's all-out full-court press to protect Obama from those failures? Was the issue the way in which evangelicals were sidelined during the GOP convention? Could Obama's re-election really be due to Hurricane Sandy, and the photo-op lovefest with Chris Christie in the week prior to the election?
If you figure that more than half the 14 million voters who stayed home were Obama voters from '08 (let's say 7.5 million, to keep it easy), then that means about 6.5 million people who voted for the McCain/Palin ticket in 2008 never even bothered to vote in 2012. I say that's a message problem. Above and beyond any external events, demographic changes, or media manipulations, the GOP needs to look at themselves and the message they sent this year. If ever the GOP had a reason to rally the troops, one would think it would be the prospect of four years just like the last four we've endured. But somehow the message missed the mark with the 6.5 million voters who, if they had just showed up, would have won the election for Mitt Romney. For the Karl Roves and Dick Morrises who exert seemingly unending influence in their party, it's time for a check up from the neck up, GOP.
Huge crowds. Huge motivation. McCain drew millions more to the polls.

I just don’t understand it. Romney had huge support at his rallies and I’ve never seen the polls in my area so busy. Not even in ‘08.
This probably contributed to why the final numbers don’t make sense at all...there were reports of huge turnouts in republican districts.

For example, a WiFi or Bluetooth card can be hidden within the computer underneath the motherboard to remotely manipulate large numbers of votes.
Or someone can also manually upload huge amounts of duplicate votes in Democrat districts multiple times (reloading memory cards multiple times in a precinct / while destroying the paper trail at precincts).
If democrats heard all the news stories of Republicans “stealing the election” prior to the election, they would have no issues tampering with votes on their side.
It doesn’t add up.

With all this, I have a hard time seeing a positive future for America to turns things around, within the system. It’s broke and totally f*ed up. IMO
Well, in the exit polls, the policy positions of Romney were supported but not believed by a 10% majority.
They didn’t trust him and they voted Obama, you have to admit .... Romney was like a shape shifter and no one believed his positions were heart felt.
I agree that there was, without doubt, massive voter fraud. But even that would have been overcome if Romney only got as many votes as McCain did.
If you can’t be at least as inspiring to voters as McCain was, there’s a problem. On the other hand, imagine what a blowout ‘08 would have been if Sarah Palin hadn’t been on the ticket.
Too liberal Mitt. When push comes to shove this was an election between a guy that pushed a bad socialized medicine law on his state and a guy that pushed a bad socialized medicine law on the country. The “anybody buy Obama” crowd was of course well motivated, but from a purely fiscal conservative point of view he just wasn’t that exciting.
I pick Number 1. ‘Voter Fraud’. After all, Liberals are past masters at that... THEY wrote the book on voter fraud!
There were outright irregularities accross the board. I work at a university... we have professors walking around with ‘Obama’ tee shirts on!
How’s that for professional, unbiased and responsible administration?!
Answer - Ronald Reagan was successful in the face of a hostile media, not to mention DemonRAT control of the House and Senate, because he was able to connect with the people. It is the responsibility of the candidate and the campaign to get their message out.
The MSM was not as hostile to Reagan as the MSM is to Republicans as a whole now. The MSM, many of them, at that time, actually believed that they were being “objective”. I think that is gone now, and the MSM have become deliberately partisan. Pat Caddel summed it up well when he called them the “Enemedia”. They likely “justify” this as being required for the agenda.
In addition, Reagan was a brilliant man and communicator. The only person close is Newt, and he was driven from the House by the MSM, over personal weaknesses that Democrats are given a pass on.
the parasites won. this sure made my life a lot more simple. will defreind 90% of my libtard friends, delete facebook and no longer surf the web for news. no longer giving to any national charity (except toys for tots and uso). don’t have to look for a job since there aren’t any and my field (graphic design/technical illustration) is infested with parasitic libratds. won’t be listening to anymore talk back radio. can walk to food store and have a freezer so don’t have to drive much. just took down all my american flags and will remove my 3AD veterans assn sticker from my car.
just fix up the house, build models (i have enough for 2 life times), exercise, and cook nice meals. the rest of the planet can go to hell.
