We have reported that college professors have moved even further to the left, and some are even inclined to alter and interpret American history to suit the progressive agenda.

Today, Campus Reform contributor Gabriella Hoffman reports that one professor has moved so far to the left that he has entered a different reality, and has rewritten a horrendous episode in Russian history on his journey.

As the old adage goes, “there is none so blind as he who will not see.”

What a fool.

Uncle Joe didn’t have Trotsky killed? Or order the murders of the Polish officer class and intelligensia in the Katyn Forest?

What does an English professor know about Soviet history anyway? Has he also invented a perpetual motion machine?

Considering this is a twit with English and Lit degrees I am not surprised by his total ignorance and therefore liberal views.

Montclair State College - as in Montclair, NJ?
If that is the case, what are they teaching at New Jersey Institute of Technology (my school)?

I say to students, pass the silly course, tell the silly Marxist what he wants to hear, get the degree, then tell the alumni association to FOAD and why.

Reminds me of the period in late WWII when the Allies began to liberate Nazi death camps. General Eisenhower ordered that graphic and detailed pictures be taken of the camps to be used at a later date in war trials. Also, Germans who were residents of nearby cities, towns or villages were brought in to assist in the clean up. Bottom line Allied command wanted strong documentary evidence established knowing that as the years went by these atrocities would be vehemently denied.

There is a way to deal with people like this.

In fact, its the only way to deal with future Adolf Eichmann.

Muslims do this a lot as well. It's a way of telling the other guy to go screw himself. You respond to a fact that doesn't advance your agenda by simply telling a Big Lie, and keep with it.

It's an art form. See how far you can push saying the most outrageous things to a guy who knows you are lying, for the benefit of an audience which is so freaking clueless that they don't know what's true and what's bullsh*t.

I am just finishing Part 1 of 3 of “The Gulag Archipelago”.
This book is not a novel, it is written by a man who experienced the post Russian Revolution joys of Stalin and his minions. I also recommend this book by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, Nobel Prize winner, “Cancer Ward”, a novel that forewarns all of the “Affordable Healthcare Act”.

Stalin was a mass murderer. He trusted nobody! His purges erased scientists, doctors, military officers, academics, and common people as well. 50 Million murdered is a good approximation of the deaths caused by this monster.

“there is none so blind as he who will not see.”

That's not what it's about.

There are some people, with an agenda so sinister, that, they will lie, no matter what the facts, in order to further his agenda and achieve his goals.

It's the Obama syndrome, where, despite the facts on the ground, and despite his miserable record, and despite the destruction he was brought upon the country, he has to lie, in order to go "Forward" with his agenda.

Sorry for the double post and my impatience.I am sure that there are some very bright graduates of Montclair State, however I would not take a degree from that institution at face value if they keep that professor in their employ!

I read “The Gulag Archipelago”. And I visited Dachau in the early 1980s. Any person who doesn’t think there are/were monsters in the world is a fool.

Jesus said it best - “You are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” John 8:44

And I suppose the Gulag system was just a means to provide the people a working vacation in the fresh arctic air?

This moron has to be addressed. This is why Obama got elected. And we will get another Obama if we don’t address this university institutionalized Marxism that exists.

Obama being president should not alarm us as much as the people who voted for him.

Another Obama style presidency will happen again if we don’t attack this failed ideology.

De fund the bastards. Give to Hillsdale College and similar.

I'll bet that Professor Grover Furr of Montclair State University is the rule, not the exception, in our institutes of higher learning, at least that was my experience.

Now that you've met Professor Grover Furr of Montclair State University, it should be easy to understand how and where journalism school graduates get their indoctrination into their art.

Sounds like Professor Grover Furr, Medieval English instructor at Montclair State University, is channeling his inner Walter Duranty.

Walter Duranty (1884-1957) was a correspondent for the New York Times who, working as a paid propagandist for Stalin's Soviet regime, sent pro-Soviet stories home. Duranty pretended that all was well in the Soviet Union, even as Russia starved 6 million Ukrainians to death. He was a awarded a Pulitzer Prize in 1932 for telling these lies. Professor Furr is merely copying the trail blazed by Duranty. To this very day, the New York Times will not find fault with Duranty’s reporting. Instead the NYT is on record as defending Duranty and his bogus Pulitzer.

My father saw Dachau a few weeks after it was liberated. He spent that winter near Munich.

He never talks about it, but his service in Europe during WWII forever changed him. He is 87.

I also had a prof in college that became a mentor. He taught poetry and classical lit. He joined the Marines when he was 17 and “got” to go fight the Japanese in WWII. He talked about it to me. Quite a bit. He NEEDED that talking. He NEEDED me to understand. So did I.

Thank your father for his service, from ALL of my family.

My father and I talk about it. But he has never opened the subject without being asked about it. I was grown before I had a clue how close he was to it.

My grandmother’s closest childhood friend was a nurse. She was in Manila before WWII, she went to Corregidor when Manila fell, then Batan and a POW camp. She retired a Lt. Colnel. She wrote a book about it called “To the Angels” (about the nurses she served with there). I have an autographed copy that I cherish.
