Obama Campaign to Supporters: Don’t Panic Over Early Exit Polls
Politicker ^ | 11/05/2012 | Colin Campbell

In a conference call this afternoon, President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign had one central message for their supporters when Election Day arrives tomorrow: They should “keep calm,” even if they hear snippets of information favoring Republican Mitt Romney.

“My warning, we need to stay calm for much of the day,” Stephanie Cutter, Mr. Obama’s deputy campaign manager, said, touting thousands of early ballots already submitted by voters. “We’ve already banked a pretty big portion of our vote.”

The fear, she explained, was early numbers leaking before voters have finished going to the polls, creating unnecessary panic and pessimism among Democrats.

Don’t worry because the exist polls don’t reflect the days and day of cheating that we have already accomplished and are accomplishing as the election continues.

There really is not other explanation for this warning.

Wake up People.

How do snippets even get out ? I didn’t think states were allowed to be called until all the polls closed. And she is saying that the results could be contested based on early votes ?

They know they have spigot cities ready to load as soon as they know where they need it with lawyers to trigger recounts to accomplish the deed. Kinda like Minnesota did for Al Frankin

The states won't be called.

There will be pollsters taking exit polls at key precincts in order to do early prediction when the polls finally close. Those exit polls -- which are counting actual voters but not actual ballots -- are very leaky.

"That is actually a scenario where Romney could win California."

I'm in CA. There isn't a scenario where Romney wins the state.

I hope Obama has most of his early votes. From what I have seen in a number of threads, Romney is doing well in early voting but the Romney campaign is geared towards getting out the vote tomorrow. Obama has put huge effort into getting out the early vote, and not so much on Election Day.

Yeah right....like the exit polls always favor the Republicans.

This is psych ops. They know the exit polls will look good for Obamugabe. Obamugabe and his ilk always look good in them...their moron voters happily drool over the attention given them by the media.

B’sides, I heard a lot of the exit polling was going to be axed this time around.

I’m definitely paranoid about voter fraud. They have blatantly cheated in front of the world and no one has called them on it.

Unreal how many times I’ve seen a Republican leading for the entire race but the Dem magically pulling ahead in the end. Al Franken might be the most obvious and no one did anything about it. Makes me so angry.

Are they kidding? Why would any dem sweat over exit polls?? Every single election they favor the democrat because more working middle class, yes white voters, will go in the evening. This has been the case time and time again. Not just in 2004 but even special elections like the Walker recall when exit polls were “too close” and the election was called 20 minutes after the polls closed. lol

Dems always trounce in exit polls.

NV would be a possibility of Obama losing if early projections put Romney on track to an electoral victory.

I understand paranoia (what, you don't believe me do ya ! ;-), but Ockham would suggest that the twit's message is they think they have a big lead with the early (read 'more easily gamed') vote.

BUT there aren't gonna be enough early votes in the world to save Ødious' traitorous muslim sissy ass from the tsunami that'll drown his cøup tomorrow.

This smells of “we’ll make up any differences as we see them”.

This is standard procedure in Michigan ... Wayne County (Detroit) always waits till all the other statewide results are in then reports their returns.
What do we need ... 4300 more votes? No problem we got'em.

Exactly. the Obama campaign is nonexistent in PA. No early voting here. Obama has spent $660k at the last minute in PA, but that is offset by $5+ million in Romney, GOP, and PAC ads being run.

Reading the “internals” article to the bottom, the “Romney advisor” relates that they see the electorate as being Republican +1 or +2. When they say that, it means something. Also, this person stated that the Sandy Response did “dent” the lead with Indies, but that the “revenge” remark fallout is moving them back to Romney.
