In a conference call this afternoon, President Barack Obamas re-election campaign had one central message for their supporters when Election Day arrives tomorrow: They should keep calm, even if they hear snippets of information favoring Republican Mitt Romney.
My warning, we need to stay calm for much of the day, Stephanie Cutter, Mr. Obamas deputy campaign manager, said, touting thousands of early ballots already submitted by voters. Weve already banked a pretty big portion of our vote.
The fear, she explained, was early numbers leaking before voters have finished going to the polls, creating unnecessary panic and pessimism among Democrats.

If true, this is very telling. I find it hard to believe she said it, but she is such an idiot it just could be true.

Whaaaaat? I thought he was going to win by 5%. Why would they hear anything discouraging tomorrow? CNN been telling us all for several days now that O has this thing all sewn up.
Seriously though, al of these people should be investigated and locked up after the election for tampering.

I agree it’s a bizarre remark. And I guarantee you it didn’t come from the brain of Stephanie Cutter, since there is a proponderance of evidence she doesn’t have one. So we will assume Axelrod as source.
I don’t know if he is insinuating early votes or machine rigging.

Well the Dem campaign has given their obligatory “stay calm” spiel, which they don’t mean for a second.
I say they should start panicking right now!
To: nhwingut
LOL what they are basically saying is “Dont worry supporters, we will get as many illegal aliens to come and vote for Obama tomorrow..its just going to take some time to bus them in”
To: MinuteGal
I saw on an unusual show, maybe on Bravo or something about Presidents where W was discussing how with the early false Kerry exit polling, W thought he *lost* too in ‘04.
He even started calling family to appraise them of possibly packing.

If you take this statement with Romney releasing his internals. This is very intriguing.
Romney shows his cards. Obama says don’t panic.

"Dont Panic Over Early Exit Polls" because the exit polling organizations are not surveying the dead, the fictional, and the mass produced ballots that hackers are going to introduce into the system. Obama's people are counting the ballots, and this will not be an exercise in democracy if Obama's people have a say in the outcome.

This information is more interesting to me than the so-called "leak" to the
UK Telegraph that Romney's internals say he's "up by 1 in Ohio." My take is that's pure psyops, especially considering the paper to which it was leaked.
Now this on the other hand, is a message to people in WI and possibly NV doing poll listing and poll running and working phone banks as part of the GOTV. They are warning them that news from the East is not going to be good, but they need them to believe it'll eventually come back their way so that they keep working cars and phones. And of course they're worried about the effect of a collapsing GOTV effort on down-ticket races.
I think this is the best news of the day.

The states won't be called.
There will be pollsters taking exit polls at key precincts in order to do early prediction when the polls finally close. Those exit polls -- which are counting actual voters but not actual ballots -- are very leaky.

I hope Obama has most of his early votes. From what I have seen in a number of threads, Romney is doing well in early voting but the Romney campaign is geared towards getting out the vote tomorrow. Obama has put huge effort into getting out the early vote, and not so much on Election Day.

Yeah right....like the exit polls always favor the Republicans.
This is psych ops. They know the exit polls will look good for Obamugabe. Obamugabe and his ilk always look good in them...their moron voters happily drool over the attention given them by the media.
B’sides, I heard a lot of the exit polling was going to be axed this time around.
