Met GEN Fogleman a few times. He flew MISTY FAC in Vietnam, evaded capture by hanging on to a Cobra's skids while evac under fire, went on to command AMC & TRANSCOM, and promoted to Chief of Staff USAF. Four-star badass who took early retirement due to differences with the Washington Powers-That-Be.

I have a lot of respect for that man and his opinions.

I was afraid of that. Whose minds will this ad change? Washington DC is almost totally blue and liberal, full of government employees, lobbyists, political fat cats and their families and gazillions of minorities.

The ad should have run in one northeastern city, one midwestern city and one western city as determined by knowledgeble political advertising experts.

I'm sure this list of retired brass could afford the three ads.

Again, what earthly good is placing this ad in the DC enclave?

There is another list with about half a dozen names of those who are endorsing Obama.

The usual suspects. Colin Powell. Weasel-y Clark. Joe Sestak, the big big Lib ex-congressman from Philly. And someone described as “Admiral Gutter, the biggest JAG in the Navy”.
