10 Questions a Pro-Choice Candidate Is Never Asked by the Media
The Gospel Coalition ^ | 10/24/2012 | Trevin Wax

Debate moderators and reporters love to ask pro-life candidates hard questions about abortion. Curiously, they don’t do the same for pro-choice candidates.

Here are 10 questions you never hear a pro-choice candidate asked by the media:

1. You say you support a woman’s right to make her own reproductive choices in regards to abortion and contraception. Are there any restrictions you would approve of?

2. In 2010, The Economist featured a cover story on “the war on girls” and the growth of “gendercide” in the world – abortion based solely on the sex of the baby. Does this phenomenon pose a problem for you or do you believe in the absolute right of a woman to terminate a pregnancy because the unborn fetus is female?

3. In many states, a teenager can have an abortion without her parents’ consent or knowledge but cannot get an aspirin from the school nurse without parental authorization. Do you support any restrictions or parental notification regarding abortion access for minors?

4. If you do not believe that human life begins at conception, when do you believe it begins? At what stage of development should an unborn child have human rights?

5. Currently, when genetic testing reveals an unborn child has Down Syndrome, most women choose to abort. How do you answer the charge that this phenomenon resembles the “eugenics” movement a century ago – the slow, but deliberate “weeding out” of those our society would deem “unfit” to live?

6. Do you believe an employer should be forced to violate his or her religious conscience by providing access to abortifacient drugs and contraception to employees?

7. Alveda King, niece of Martin Luther King, Jr. has said that “abortion is the white supremacist’s best friend,” pointing to the fact that Black and Latinos represent 25% of our population but account for 59% of all abortions. How do you respond to the charge that the majority of abortion clinics are found in inner-city areas with large numbers of minorities?

8. You describe abortion as a “tragic choice.” If abortion is not morally objectionable, then why is it tragic? Does this mean there is something about abortion that is different than other standard surgical procedures?

9. Do you believe abortion should be legal once the unborn fetus is viable – able to survive outside the womb?

10. If a pregnant woman and her unborn child are murdered, do you believe the criminal should face two counts of murder and serve a harsher sentence?

Excellent point, and of course accurate. Of course, we should be grown ups and people like Todd Akins and Richard Mourdock should be smart enough to understand this or choose another profession.

I don’t care to know the tortured thought processes and deepest ruminations of these guys on abortion - and I am pro life and I support them. They need a tall glass of STFU at times....

The baby killers assume that all Americans agree with their agenda. Their assumption is in error!!!

One question: Do you feel guilty because you are already here? (and then remind them that they could make thier own abortion retroactive)

Only Republicans get asked gotcha questions. I would like to hear a Democrat's response to this:

"President Obama voted four times in favor of "born-alive" abortions that occur when a baby survives an abortion. Do you support these types of post-birth abortions?"

I like to ask this one:

If you had been able to talk to our mother while she was pregnant with you, would you have told her you approve and support her right to abort you?

Indeed. I wonder if Gwyneth Paltrow and Blythe Danner are ever asked that when they do their pro-abortion Mother’s Day/mother-daughter commercials for planned parenthood?

“I’ve noticed that everybody that is for abortion has already been born.”-President Ronald Wilson Reagan.

I’d like this question asked to an entire audience of pro choice women:
Could all of you who have had an abortion please stand up?

When no one stands up I would then pronounce that we have statistically just proven that no one gets abortions, therefore no one should object to ruling them illegal. My follow up concerning the derisive response would be to examine why no one, even in a room full of pro choice women, chose to stand up and admit that they had had an abortion. Shame, of course, would be the answer as they truly knew they had taken the life of their own child.

...then again shame is pretty much out the window in the pro choice crowd so it’s entirely possible that every hand in the room would go up and they’d be cheering me on.

Well, not sure what that video does to address my specific point, but I’ve only listened to the first minute or so - and I like the video because it brings up the point I have argued with a lot of folks, including Freepers, over the past months.

And that is, for all of Mitt’s flip flops and all of the Mass liberalism he signed off on, Obama has promised to be more radical, more liberal, and to apply it not to a liberal enclave like Mass with 87% liberal legislators, but to apply it nationwide in the face of a congress that’s over 50% opposition.

To me, that’s the key point. It’s not a question of how good Mitt is. Its a question of how evil Obama and his party are. And the answer: totally.

When I have time, I”ll watch the rest of that vid...thanks for posting.

They ARE excellent questions, and they’ll never be asked by journalists, who are almost all pro-abortion themselves. If ever some conservative journalist DOES ask these questions, they’ll be ignored.

Thank you for posting this.

Pro Choice For Baby Death people are also not asked questions where the actual term “PRO-LIFE” is used. Leftists phrase their questions with terms such as “anti-abortionists”. And when talking with the PRO-LIFE they will still call us anti-abortionists. Why? Because it is looked on as socially unacceptable in this country to be ANTI anything.

Why should we, people who believe in the sanctity of life, people choosing God’s ways, use Leftist terminology. When referring to people who think killing babies in the mother’s womb is okay, even the term “abortion” is not graphic of a word. The term “Pro-choice” is evil deception (the baby has no choice in the matter and most of us reading surely have heard of cases where the father did not have a choice in the matter either!

From now on call them Pro Choice For Baby Death people or call them Anti-Right of the Baby To Choose Life people (That will really confuse them!)

I got a mailer which referred to the pro-life candidate with nothing but deceptive language claiming wrongly that he “does not believe in allowing women to make health choices.”What a lie!

I have wondered for awhile how come voters are voting for people who have shown themselves to be terrible leaders. Part of it might be that many on the left are so deceptive and their false message is getting out there to the voters.

This calls for divine intervention to Almighty God in Heaven.

We need intervention from RIGHT WING WARRIORS as well: America keep praying and get out and vote for all the conservatives and if there isn’t one...VOTE AGAINST THE COMMUNISTS, LEFTISTS LUNATICS, and deceptive candidates.
