The reason is simple - journalism controls the TV time and the microphones - and journalism wants journalist moderators.The only way to change the debates would be to pass a law revoking FCC licenses for stations which don’t give time for unmoderated debates, in which microphone time is allocated via a chess timer controlling the microphones. That would require Republican majorities in both houses of Congress and a Republican POTUS - and guts. At least as much guts as Reagan showed in discarding the Fairness Doctrine.
It was bad enough with Biden being so rude and puerile and interrupting all the time, but when the moderator kept interrupting—trying to make Ryan lose his train of thought-—I almost turned off the debate.
Under the enormous disadvantage, Ryan came off looking extremely classy and mature. The other two looked like rude obnoxious OWS types or sodomites attacking the Cathedral in S.F. with condoms.

It went almost exactly as I expected. The only ones who could’ve been surprised are the ones who thought this would be a replay of Romney trouncing the putzident. Biden’s been shuckin’ an’ smirkin’ his way thru politics for 35 years; this was just another gig for him. No big deal; his true believing jackoffs got what he always guarantees them, but he didn’t inspire any new votes.
As a general rule every time a liberal moderator or interviewer gives their biased views as part of a question the answer needs to be: “If the American public wanted to hear your opinions they would have voted for you in the primaries.”

I had the picture on, but the sound down (I have a hard time watching these things, know that the moderator is in the tank for the Dims).
Anyway, it seemed that every time I looked over and saw Biden, he had this strange, smirky, ‘aren’t you an idiot’ kind of look on his face. It struck me as so bizarre that I actually watched for awhile to see if it was an aberration, but no.
Do these people (Dims) ever just come in, say what they want to say in good sportsmanship and a gentlemanly manner?
I am afraid only the destruction of Islam will bring peace.
