Are we still pretending these guys are nothing more than a peaceful political organization?
It's tough to find anyone who's still buying President Obama's line that the Muslim Brotherhood is nothing more than a secular political organization. His assertion, that they should play an important part in the governing of Egypt, has been met by massive skepticism - and rightfully so. Still, if there's someone out there clinging to Obama's stated position, let us draw your attention to a recent proclamation made by Mohammed Badie, the Supreme Guide of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.
“Zionists only understand the language of force and will not relent without duress,” Badie said. “This will only happen through holy Jihad, high sacrifices and all forms of resistance. The day they realize we will march this path and raise the banner of Jihad for the sake of God, is the day they will relent and stop their tyranny.”
He went on to say that “The time has come for the Islamic nation to unite around one man for the sake of Jerusalem and Palestine. The Jews have dominated the land, spread corruption on earth, spilled the blood of believers and in their actions profaned holy places, including their own.”
