Newt: Mitt needs a better message, and he should stop saying Obama cares about the middle class
The Right Scoop ^ | September 26th, 2012 | The Right Scoop

Newt was on CNN earlier today and said that he believes Romney hasn’t found a theme that really resonates with people yet, which is why he isn’t doing better ins states like Florida and Ohio, both of which have Republican governors. Bu he doesn’t believe it’s the candidate or anything else for that matter, he simply believes that it is message, that Romney needs to draw sharper lines between he and Obama and really hammer the differences in a way that makes sense to people.

He was also critical of an ad Romney released this morning, where Romney said that both he and Obama care about the middle class. Newt said he just doesn’t understand why Mitt is saying that:

You're preaching to the choir. Amen, brother. Apparently, we think alike. Below is a post I've posted here several times over the past few years. Some freepers reply that I'm "quitting", or "whining and wringing my hands"... I am neither. I will continue to fight if only to keep the scum from fully enjoying the fruits of their efforts. And I am not whining and wringing my hands - - in fact, I'm having a blast!

I just keep my eyes wide open. I have studied this stuff for a long time; I know what reality looks like and I can admit it when my side has lost. Anyway, here's that post referenced above:
______________________________________________

America is dead and gone. The final nail in the coffin was the 2008 election of an African communist as President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. America had a great run. Remember it fondly for what it was, but there’s no point hanging onto the past.

The United States of America is now little more than a land mass populated by cretins, ingrates, and parasites who have absolutely no respect for the military and who vote for big government to confiscate money from their neighbors so that it may be “redistributed” to them in exchange for their votes. It is not an America worth defending anymore. That America no longer exists.

The parasites outnumber the hosts now, and there’s no going back. America is dead.
The Democrats have won.

Nothing lasts forever (shrug) and there’s no point crying or whining about it. My recommendation to every decent human left out there is to throw some cold water in your face and proceed to ‘Plan B’. Figure out how to grab every government dime you possibly can before the parasites who comprise the Democrat party “base” gobble it all up. Look for angles. Look for refuge. Hide what you have. Get under the radar and game the system. Every man for himself.

Good luck, everybody.

"I guess Newt’s still frosted over his loss."

Or he's hearing what a lot of Conservative pundits are privately being told by GOP insiders. It's still within the margins, but trending towards hussein. And given Mitt's propensity for staying the safe course, they are worried.

When Romney says 0bama cares about the middle class, that suggests Romney fears fighting him on middle-class issues. A bad sign.

The only notable person I have seen slam Romney’s faith is Harry Reid.

True. I was referring to the idiots here on FR that would rather slam his faith than support him, much less get off their duffs and vote.

Just sick of reading the screeds here, on FR, of all places.

Romney was Obama’s CHOSEN opponent. That is why the media began to shape the public perception he was the only one who could beat Obama back early last year.

He was chosen to “lose” to Obama, to create the illusion we had a choice in this election. Romney will take a dive and hit the mat, he was chosen for one purpose only - to create an illusion and keep the masses placated for a while longer.

Doesn’t anyone question why Romney was ruthless in attacking and destroying every conservative running in the primaries - but now that he’s the “nominee” he’s tossing softballs at Obama?

SSocialists like Oblablama care “too much” about people and “middle-class” in order to get their votes and own them keeping them in dependency.

And the intellectual dependency follows the economical dependency .

Sane people should not like that Oblabla and hese minions care too much about them

Romney needs to say flay out how The Marxist’s policies are DESTROYING the middle class and how his socialist upbringing taught him to hate the American middle class.

I got a lot of grief here for supporting Newt, but this is the time I was thinking of. We have the debates staring at us and you know what Newt would do to that smarmy “eye candy” up on stage. It would be one for the history books. Instead we are looking at a NE liberal flip flopper with no spine going up against someone that would have death camps for gun owners if he could get away with it. People said, “But I don't like Newt.” If I hear one more reference to having a beer with the president I will puke. I'm not electing a drinking buddy anymore than a national pastor. I don't care if they are “nice” or not. I want someone with ideas, and especially ideas that work! I want someone that would embarrass the debate moderator if they asked a stupid question. I want someone with facts and figures right on the tip of his tongue to counter the spin that inevitably comes if you can't run on your own accomplishments. Newt is such a person. Now we have our Bob Dole/McCain, in Romney and we will have to live with it.

I have to agree with you here- while I don’t like his message etc. I think it is for the people who voted for Obama-as you said, the squishy ones.

He has to address each block of voters-and this stuff is designed for the people who are still wearing the rose colored glasses- not us.

this race has already been gerrymandered.

mitt will stand to profit from his own loss financially.

both parties are in cahoots with each other, they have been since the 90’s.

this is why the TEA party is such a threat.

I see little difference in the R or D at this point.

McCain was a prime example.

some say he will win, I say he will lose.

not through the electoral college, but he will lose the popular vote. and this is what the populace and radicals want. Gore was a set up. Now, after this, the SCOTUS will announce Obama the winner, even though he loses the electoral college. They will somehow swing out that the EC is unconstitutional and the will of the people trumps it. All elections will be decided by 10 cities.

the R’s are the party of capitulation.

what Obama is to the Muslim world (an apologist) R’s are to the political world.

Agree, Democrats never get called out on the difference between a wealth tax and an income tax, which this Democrat party raising income taxes will only make employers pay more taxes over offering more job opportunities.

Yet Democrats wish to portray the income tax as a wealth tax so they can demonize “the rich”, who don’t necessarily realize an effect on paying higher income taxes.

Newt: Mitt needs a better message...

Given the situation "I'm not obama" should be enough.

From the link: American politics has often been an arena for angry minds. In recent years we have seen angry minds at work mainly among extreme right-wingers, who have now demonstrated in the Goldwater movement how much political leverage can be got out of the animosities and passions of a small minority. But behind this I believe there is a style of mind that is far from new and that is not necessarily right-wind. I call it the paranoid style simply because no other word adequately evokes the sense of heated exaggeration, suspiciousness, and conspiratorial fantasy

Interesting that on FR, you would post an anti-Conservative/anti-Goldwater screed to apply to a simple observation of facts regarding Romney and how this whole damn election is going.

You must be with the Ruling Class GOP-e.
