Print out a copy of Obama’s past record concerning gun rights, and show it to them. THAT, might wake them up...
Obama supports ban on on the manufacture, sale and possession of all handguns (1996).
Obama endorses ban on the sale or transfer of all semi-automatic firearms (1998).
Obama supports 500 percent increase in taxes on both guns and ammunition (1999).
Obama proposes banning gun stores within five miles of any school or park (1999).
Obama co-sponsors legislation limiting gun purchases to “one gun a month” (1999).
Obama serves on board of directors of the anti-gun Joyce Foundation (1994-2002).
Obama votes to ban hundreds of common, conventional rifles and shotguns (2003).
Obama votes to prosecute victims who use guns for self-defense in their homes (2004).
Obama backs federal law to abolish Right-to-Carry nationwide (2004).
Obama votes to ban common rifle ammunition (2005).
Obama votes to expose U.S. gun industry to potentially bankrupting lawsuits (2005).
Obama votes to reject pro-Second Amendment Supreme Court Justices John Roberts and Samuel Alito (2005 and 2006).
Obama supports Washington D.C. ban on guns in the home for self-defense and refuses to sigh bipartisan “friend of the court” brief urging Supreme Court to overturn it (2008).
Obama votes to jeopardize federal criminal investigations by opening up sensitive BAFTE gun-trace data for manipulation by anti-gun politicians (2008).
any realtionship to Jon Stewart Liebowitz?
“Aww, c’mon guys. This is HARD. I’ve never DONE this before.
If you think it’s so easy, YOU try it.”

All of this does not matter to many, many senior citizens who are falling for the Obama scare tactics, whether they are gun owners, or even veterans. Whenever the fear of ‘their’ benefits being cut by big bad rich Republicans is stronger than their conservative beliefs, it’s the “free” government money that wins every time.
As a baby-boom senior citizen myself who has not relied on the government to take care of me, I am outnumbered by those of my generation that never planned for their retirement and depend on the government to take care of them now.
I wrote this about senior citizen military veterans and their views on the election on a thread a few days ago:
As you know the media is carrying the water for Obama as it pertains to veterans. And many senior citizen veterans either do not want to or do not have time, or do not care to seek alternative media truth about Obama and how he hates the military. Many have told me that they cannot vote for either Romney or Obama.
Sadly, as a senior citizen military veteran myself, current stories like these and dozens of others during this Obama campaign bombardment of propaganda published by the Chicago metro media are mostly what vets know about Obama

Illinois eases professional licensing for military families
By Jason Keyser / Associated Press Posted on June 26, 2012
CHICAGO (AP) Michelle Obama got a boost Tuesday from her home state of Illinois in her campaign to make it easier for military spouses to advance their own careers amid the frequent moves that come with life in a military family.

Loved the novel “A Canticle for Lebowitz” but don’t like your idea at all. Sorry. People aren’t going to watch a 30-minute political ad. He would be wasting a ton of money, IMO.
Well, it shouldn’t be *live,* for goodness’ sake! They should put it together in the studio first, and use the best cuts. (And maybe burn the outtakes, with a stake through its heart! LOL!)
That tells you just how far left the inner circle support team is around Romney ~ they are so far left they are numb from the neck up.
I’ve had an idea for an ad for a while - anyone is welcome to use it (hello Romney campaign!)
Show specific dates/times when Obama was golfing, on vacation, at a party, at a concert, on one of his ‘date nights’, at a fancy dinner, eating an ice cream cone, in Hawaii at the pool, etc. — and then contrast it with a unemployed person knocking on doors for work, a family stressed about finances, someone losing their home, someone panhandling, etc.
It would be a stark contrast and would be highly effective in my opinion!
The best thing Romney could do, and also the key issue with his campaign. He can't stand his base.
The local Romney office should have had a couple of people working that gun show. Must have thought it wasn’t that important.
True. We live in an older neighborhood with many of its original residents who have lived here 30 years or more. We are dismayed to see Obama yard signs popping up. Many of the elderly here have been lied to and scared that they will lose their Social Security, Medicare, etc. if Obama is not reelected. They don’t particularly like HIM, but are scared to lose their benefits.
That’s good. But a reality ad would still be hard to beat with the DNC delegates (Arab contingent) booing God and emphasizing that platform’s commitment to Gay Marriage. This would turn the Reagan Democrats into the Republican fold.
The Obama media group scare the seniors tactic is working well.
Analysis: For Romney, some troubling signs among older voters
By David Morgan | Reuters Mon, Sep 24, 2012
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Even before his running mate was booed by a lobbying group for older Americans on Friday, Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney was losing support among such voters, whose backing is crucial to his hopes of winning the November 6 election.
New polling by Reuters/Ipsos indicates that during the past two weeks - since just after the Democratic National Convention - support for Romney among Americans age 60 and older has crumbled, from a 20-point lead over Democratic President Barack Obama to less than 4 points.
Romney’s double-digit advantages among older voters on the issues of healthcare and Medicare - the nation’s health insurance program for those over 65 and the disabled - also have evaporated, and Obama has begun to build an advantage in both areas.
