Immigration Officials Advise Educators on Deferred Action
Education Week's blogs ^ | August 29, 2012 | Lesli A. Maxwell

School records will be among the key documents that young undocumented immigrants must submit in their requests for deferred action, the new immigration policy that allows individuals who arrived in the United States as children to seek relief from deportation and gain work permits.

Applicants have to demonstrate, among other criteria, that they are currently enrolled in school, have graduated from high school, or have obtained a GED. But school records will also help many potential beneficiaries prove another key qualification: continuous presence in the U.S. for the last five years. A high school transcript documenting four years of schooling would be "fantastic evidence in a single document."

That's what Department of Homeland Security officials advised—among among many other things—on a conference call Tuesday with educators who raised a range of questions about the role they will play in providing information and supporting students' deferred action requests.

Team Obama declares ,Acknowledging that obtaining driver's licenses or using a false Social Security number is a not-uncommon practice among undocumented immigrants, DHS officials said that those sorts of scenarios would have to be considered case by case, but generally would not fall under the agency's enforcement priorities,... DHS'S mindset be taking a trip abroad, for example, would likely be seen as an attempt to mislead immigration official in order to receive deferred action,in the DHS officials world making a trip aboard supersedes using fake or stolen documents,which come across a harmless crime. the qualification of being currently enrolled in school have been so watered down, all that is needed now is to be enrolled in literacy programs, such as adult ESL classes, would meet the qualification of being currently enrolled in school, so long as the programs are recipients of federal grant funding, such as through the Adult Education and Family Literacy Act, or the Perkins Act.

This must be headline news in Mexico,so easy my friends a cave man can do it

and still Willard has not come out against this AMNESTY for illegal aliens...

Under a president Romney it would be more of the same...

Willard has a record of promising to “sustain” what he calls “the law of the land” when its unConstitutional...

and he has already said “we cant send them all back”

and “we must find a path to citizenship”

How ducky for him...

I certainly do not want to defend Mitty——but the fact that he did not choose Rubio for vice/pr speaks volumes...that would have been a shoutout WRT his amnesty policies....something the open borders crowd wanted.

Now, Rubio will speak tonight——and I understand all the speakers were compelled to get their speeches okay’ed by the Romney team——so what Rubio says will hint at the Romney admin on amnesty.

Keep in mind——Repub gov candidate Chris Christie was savaged by latinos b/c he chose as Lt Gov the former sheriff who applied to enforce the 238(g) rule against latinos. Obama and Corzine held secret latino rallies-—and opponent Corzine had a Peruvian Pac backing him in a solid Dem state.....and spent zillions.

NJ is known for brokers mfg and selling fake identities to “impoverished” latinos for several thousand dollars each.

Christie won handily.

In DHS'S mindset, evidence of taking a trip abroad, for example, would likely be seen as an attempt to "mislead" immigration officials in order to receive "deferred action". In the official DHS world, a trip aboard supersedes using fake or stolen documents, felonious acts which the Obamanation DOJ considers a "harmless" crime.

Speaking of trips abroad.....I am dying to see how the suckups will treat evidence of falsified passports.

At one time the US State Dept would not accept passports issued by the Hudson County, NJ Passport Office (headed by a latino) b/c of massive fraud, forgery, stolen SS nos and falsifications.

RE RUBIO'S CONVENTION SPEECH: It was a very good speech---but I thought he looked a bit demoralized.....didn't have that smug "we're taking over" visage he usually sports.

He's probably disappointed he wasn't picked for v/p,....but I would also conclude the Romney people kiboshed Rubio's inclinations to give a rah-rah amnesty speech that glorified illegals........remember, Romney had the final say on all speechifying.

=====================================

(Smirk) Rubio did not give the speech he was ordered to give by Third World governments, all of them salivating for US tax dollars, a suckup speech that called for immigrants' complete control over the US govt......to begin the reconquista takeover.......La Raza must be pissed. ROTFL.

===============================================

However, we can't get too complacent. The parasites got more tricks up their sleeves. They won't rest by a longshot.....visions of billions of US tax dollars are dancing in their heads.

A Pres Romney will be under a lot of pressure to give them what they want.

Still, the kiboshing of Rubio is a nice victory for us.
