Brewer is the Arizona empress who has now defied a directive from the Obama administration, whose easing of deportation rules took effect last week. The federal ruling allowed more than one million people to qualify for the temporary program, which enables certain younger illegal immigrants to apply for work permits, Society Security cards and driver’s licenses. Unless they live in Arizona. The almighty emperor Brewer says no way. ANd if she is breaking federal law, well, hey, she's the empress. Nobody tells her what to do.
Last week, she signed an order barring illegal immigrants who qualify from getting any state or local public benefits. They can’t even get an Arizona driver’s license or a state-issued identification card. Yep, nothing like stopping these folks – allowed by law for up to two years to stay – from driving to work or having an ID. Nice job, empress.Brewer says she is preventing “significant and lasting impacts not he Arizona budget, its health care system and addition public benefits that Arizona taxpayers fund.” Actually, what she is doing is pandering. And incredibly mean-spirited. And she is also overtly breaking the law.
I guess that could be reason for impeachment. But that would be extreme.
Which is something Jan Brewer knows all about.

Yeah, Brewer is pandering but Obama isn’t? Obama just dumped this in the laps of the states based on an arbitrary decision that sidestepped Congress completely, not sure why the states should put up with this BS and I fully support my governor in this.
I don't think that's extreme at all. I think that we should proceed immediately with impeachment of "Hit the Road" Brack Hussein Øbozo.

At least the poll accompanying the article is 91% NO to the question about whether the dreamers should be eligible to receive state benefits.

BTW I meant to add that it wouldn’t be a bad idea if all FReepers would contact the governor of their state to ask them to issue an executive order to deny “dreamers” drivers licenses. We can see now that the Obama administration intends to get as many illegal aliens and other ineligible residents as possible registered to vote to try to subvert the election. Gov. Jan Brewer is a hero.

What federal law? Since when does the Kenyan make federal law on his own?
This is a question to which I don’t know the answer. In how many states, and which ones, is a driver’s license or similar ID necessary to vote? To the extent that it may be, will the grant of driver’s licenses permit illegal immigrants to vote even though they are not citizens?

Whatever we do, we MUST NOT allow them the right to vote!
That is the cost of their illegal presence and that is also to levy a cost on the politicians who viewed them as a future voting block.

Just who the hell does this genius think pays for those benefits? They already cost the taxpayers billions every year, and now we should just keep stuffing more into their illegal butts? Why doesn’t he, and all those who want the law-breakers to stay and bottom-feed off our country, just each take in an illegal family, and sponsor their food and medical care?
