While we’re on the subject, don’t EVEN forget about peroxide, bandages, quinine pills, iodine pills, and a consideration for any maintenance meds you may be jacked up on. A good med supply kit, sutchers (sp?) sutcher needles, syringes, (yea, a box of diabetic syringes are really useful when you need to administer some emergency antibiotic.)

I agree on peroxide, plue rubbing alcohol - both are cheap. I have thread and needles, both new in sealed packages, but my primary suture option is superglue. I recommend buying packs of 3-5 disposable tubes twice a year, and using them for normal household use after a year. That way you always have 2-3 packs, and you know the shelf life for the brands you buy. Superglue is recommended for wound closure and a whole lot easier on everyone than sutures. I have a lot of sterile gauze pads, bandages, and similar. I put $100 into fish antibiotics (pharmacy grade, legal, and cheaper than prescription), so I'm covered there too, probably for a LONG time even in a crisis. Remarkably, no one in my family is on any regular medications, so we're not the model for everyone.

“...quinine pills...”

Quinine...best source is Schweppes Tonic...mixes well with gin... :) (if it’s not Schweppes it isn’t Tonic)

Hope you have lots of both in your stores, especially when I come to visit...
