Dick Morris: Obama to Sign UN Gun-Grab Treaty and RAM IT DOWN OUR THROATS

But the Senate will never ratify, you say?
Guess what, they don't need to...
Speaking on Fox and Friends this morning, Dick Morris explained that when the US signs such an international treaty, the nation is bound until the Senate rejects it or the President renounces it. In just nine days from now, the terms of this treaty will be finalized.
Morris went on to say that this heinous agreement -which would in-affect repeal the the Second Amendment and deny us all of the divine right to self-defense- will likely be signed by Obama... then Harry Reid will simply never bring it up for a vote, keeping the ATT treaty in-effect.
Then, if Dear Leader actually manages to win a second term and continues with his ongoing date-rape of this country, he will of course never renounce it, either... meaning we're stuck with it for a minimum of 4.5 years, in which time they'd be able to assault your Second Amendment gun rights relentlessly... a fait acompli

Y’all don’t want to play this game in Texas and much of the South and West. It will be a hell of a fight, and I am sure much of the enforcers of such a set of rules will be no where to be found.
We are moving the other direction in Red State America.

He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties
This is a serious issue, but I think Morris overstates this.
There is no way that a treaty could be found legally binding if it has not gone through the Senate.
Preventing it going through the Senate simply means that it has not met the 2/3rds requirement of Senate approval.

It shouldn't be a valid treaty. I think Obama would have to actually be a citizen for the treaty to hold. :)

Utter Nonsense.
The only way you repeal the 2nd Amendment is by force of arms (use of military troops. The citizen of this Country are not going to willingly comply with a UN treaty. The Police are not capable of taking our weapons from us and I truly believe here would be open revolt if the military was ordered to do so. So what> The UN is going to send UN troops in? Get serious.......

Even if Barry is re elected there is an excellent chance the Republicans will take the Senate. Their first order of business would be to schedule a vote on the treaty.

I counsel caution. Obama is indeed attempting to push a revolt to give him the excuse to suspend the Constitution, invoke Martial Law and stop the elections.
He knows in the forthcoming eleciton, he and his pet RATS are going to get their heads handed to them. His only option is to prevent the electoral process from proceeding.

"All of his moves seem to be pushing our buttons pretty hard. He wants a confrontation." Could it be that is his plan? If he can push the right people, make them rise up in an armed confrontation, then he can declare a state of emergency, cancel the election, disable all communications (phones, TV, radio, internet) and set in motion the dictatorship he has been preparing for, all the while saying he must do this to "save" us from the "crazy bible and gun toting radicals".

People who take Constitutional interpretation from a toe-sucker are bound to get easily riled up.
Never mind that the Constitution, and the Supreme Court say otherwise - if Dick Morris says it, that's good enough for me /s.

Yes he does and he will get it.
What he doesn’t seem to understand is that if he signs it, every gun law on the books will be absolutely meaningless as every gun owner will then be considered criminal.
It’s going to get REAL ugly before it’s over. I hope Obama realizes and is ready for what he is about to unleash. I feel sorry for the cops and other law enforcement out there. They’ll take the brunt of it.
It’s going to be a sad day for the Republic.

I view this as the abuse of the Consitution, not a post-Constitutional America. I only wish it were as simple as that. If the abuse is gotten away with it sets precedence for future Presidents. That means the Constitution is only recognized if a particular President chooses to recognize it.

Actually, I think armed confrontation is the last thing Obama or any of his puppetmasters want. They are counting on the continued passivity of the American people. Additionally, I think the average left-winger thinks that the President is actually a king and can do whatever he wants. That's why they are always so surprised and annoyed when someone brings up Constitutional limitations. To put it simply: left-wingers simply do not view government in the traditional American sense; they see it more in the Soviet sense.

I honestly hope you're wrong, because what in the heck is the point in having guns if whenever the government abuses its own authority, all you do is hide them? The 2nd Amendment was written specifically to give the American people a last form of resistance. If the US government (or anyone else) comes for those guns, we should not be hiding them - we should be USING THEM. Otherwise, we are not worthy of being called "American".
