GOP Bigshots Wonder Why We Hate Them: Arrogant RINOs - So Far No Repub Convention Invite for Palin

What? The invitations haven't hit the post office yet? Please don't go there. Palin should have a central position and should have been on the speakers list for months. She, Congressman Allen West and Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann are the voices of conservative leaders, and Palin started it all, along with the TEA Party. Give Palin a platform for this one night. She deserves it. Conservatives deserve it. Surely there is room on the stage for Palin, along with Pawlenty, Daniels, Portman, Rice, and Jindal. We're upchucking the mountains of chicken we've been fed.  You've given us a lot of bun. Now give us some beef!

Sarah Palin has not yet received an invitation to speak at or attend the Republican National Convention this August in Tampa, Newsweek reported.

“What can I say?” Palin told Newsweek in an email. “I’m sure I’m not the only one accepting consequences for calling out both sides of the aisle for spending too much money, putting us on the road to bankruptcy, and engaging in crony capitalism.”

“In accepting those consequences,” she added, “one must remember this isn’t Sadie Hawkins and you don’t invite yourself and a date to the Big Dance.”

The magazine said the Romney campaign did not respond to a question about Palin’s role at the convention, but one adviser associated with Team Romney indicated that she may be prohibited from speaking under her contract with FOX News.

Palin appeared dubious, however, about that reasoning.

“It’s true I’m prohibited from doing some things,” Palin told Newsweek, “but this is the first I’ve heard anyone suggest that as an excuse, er, reason to stay away from engaging in the presidential race. I’m quite confident Fox’s top brass would never strip anyone of their First Amendment rights in this regard.” Source: NY Daily News

The Left trying to stir up trouble. How much do you want to bet that Palin will be asked to speak at the convention?

She may have to decline if it affects her contract with Fox.

Still taking seemingly forever for a breakaway conservative party to materialize.

So far she has not formally endorsed Romney.

Are there any other speakers invited to the convention who have not endorsed the ticket?

I suggest she be given a speaking position. Acceptance of the VP position.....SURPRISE! Bet Mitt would let her campaign in Michigan.

kabar, maybe you could explain Sarah’s “lefty” remarks that give legs to this lefty article?

What does the Left have to do with the facts? At this time, the convention is being planned. Palin has not been invited. Palin is not a delegate. Palin is a former VP candidate, for crying out loud. Palin has still not been invited.

What is LEFT about the fact that Palin has not been invited to attend, to speak, or to serve cookies at the convention and she, HERSELF, has noticed the snub?

Simple...when the GOP and Romney solicit for money just tell them invite Palin or else, they’ll get the message.

Hate RINOS? Heck people here are planning on voting for Romney the RINO. It doesn’t matter an ioda what the GOPe does because conservatives will slobber over whoever they put up and will forgive Romney for not inviting Sarah with their votes. Unless conservatives start showing they have principles, the GOPe will continue to treat them the way they deserve. Why should the GOPe or Romney do anything for the conservatives when they vote for whoever is the nominee. It is scary to think how many people are sticking up for Romney these days.....certainly not a conservative if they do that.

Great job by the morons at the GOP leadership pulling a stunt like this, which makes Palin a headline issue and starves more oxygen from the Romney campaign.

Whoever made this moronic decision should be pink-slipped before the sun sets.

There is no ticket until the convention approves it. I have no idea what speakers have been invited. Do you?

I would say let things sort themselves out and not trust the MSM reporting. Sarah will let us know whether she has been invited or not and whether she will attend. As a Fox News political consultant, will her contract allow her to speak at the Convention? I know she continues to endorse candidates.

I heard Sarah, on with Greta, say Romney will make a wonderful, or great (something like that) president. I think she has said anyone of the GOP candidates were acceptable to her and she would support them.

Do you think Ronald Reagan is a legitimate hero to the Republicans and conservatives?

I did not want Romney, but he is what we have and I will support him. There are no other options other than throwing away a vote.

No. I think the conservatives but the GOPe wouldn’t give him the time of day. I hear that Mayor Bloomberg is the 2020 Republican nominee. FREEPERS are going to get behind him too.

I don’t think the speaking schedule has been announced, at least, I couldn’t find.

Palin endorsed McCain over Hayworth and said that Condi Rice would make a great VP. Perhaps those are the Lefty remarks.

My biggest complaint about Palin is that she failed to toss her hat into the ring and fight for the nomination. She missed a great opportunity. More than likely, she would be the nominee looking at the way things turned out.

Biggest bunch of balony in history. No wonder the GOPe laughs their butts off at us. We are no better then the liberals who vote for whoever the Democrats put up. Listen, SUPPOSEDLY we are 40 percent of the voting population. You SERIOUSLY believe we can’t vote a conservative third party person like Virgil Goode????? We certainly could IF we had the supposed 40 percent. On Free Republic, we have about 10 percent conservatives by the support of a liberal Republican like Romney who they tout as the greatest guy on Earth.

She’s not a politician she’s a commentator. She didn’t run for President. Why would anyone think she deserves to speak at the convention any more than say Rush or Gomer?
