Romney should heed Palin’s 'Light Our Hair on Fire' rally cry!

Sarah Palin is smart, decisive and she understands the needs and the dreams and aspirations of the heartland of America. So when she urges Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney to “Light our hair on fire”, it would behoove the presidential aspirant to listen.

Throughout Romney’s political career, it is safe to say that no one would ever accuse him of possessing rousing oratory or that he has ever lit an audience on fire with flame and inner passion. But, that is probably not as essential in this race, as having the ability to connect in a personal way with each one of the millions of voters who walk into that voting booth to cast their vote. Each voter needs to feel, Romney is right for their family’s needs, and that his administration will build a better tomorrow for their family, sooner rather than later.

Sarah Palin has bottled that formula for inspiring the conservative and independent American electorate, because she not only speaks from her heart, but Palin speaks to the heart of an America that Americans remember, full of grandeur and bristling with vibrant spirit and tenacious ability to protect the family, and rebuild from an inner spiritual strength endowed by God. Mitt Romney should seriously consider using Palin’s suggested playbook and truly demonstrate from within his will to defend and protect America’s families and their future. He must jettison the image of being perceived as a candidate who is walking a politically safe tightrope to the RNC Convention and the fall campaign.

The first step actually may have been taken at the recent NAACP National Convention in Houston, Texas, where Romney did not attempt to placate the audience. Instead, he told the audience what would truly benefit....

Or, we could just dump Romney and nominate Sarah Palin.

O.K., wishful thinking unless Romney's delegates abandon him in droves at the convention, which is highly unlikely. However, the article gets it right when it quotes Palin as saying that Romney has to excite voters and not just bash Obama and make promises. He looked good at the NAACP convention so let's see if Romney can do it.

she urges Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney to “Light our hair on fire” This big alley cat didn't quite clear the barb-wire fence one night while out looking for love, and lost a couple things. So he hired himself out as a counselor and cheerleader. Say what you like about Romney, he's in the fight.

“Remind us how important it is that we get engaged in the presidential election because it is the election of our lifetime,”

Of course, she’s right.

However, the next several elections will be the ‘election of our lifetime’ because of the pervasive damage which the ‘O’ administration has put into place. We have to be energetic in rehabilitating the process and recalaiming the authentic America for authentic Americans. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!

With 80% of Americans HATING RomneyCARE and ObamaCARE
and death panels, it is not sane to take as a nominee
the AUTHOR of these hated things.

Who else?

There are more than 50 - 75 million eligible REAL conservatives left.

Wonder if he's considered this woman.

Finally, speaking of long shots, there is one who continues to move up among veteran political observers. Despite her newness to the national scene, New Hampshire's Kelly Ayotte might be a perfect target to sucker the Democrats. Why? Because the automatic temptation on the left will be to attack Ayotte in very much the same way they attacked Palin, with a fury and passion that are over the top. But Ayotte is far more prepared for such an assault than was Palin, who despite all her virtues was woefully unready for the scathing onslaught she received. Ayotte already knows federal issues very well; she also has the toughness of a former prosecutor, the executive experience of serving as her state's attorney general for five years, and the respect from many of the same talking heads who bedeviled Palin and helped set the template for coverage of her. If the left tries smearing Ayotte the same way they smeared Palin, the result is likely to be a backlash just as heavy from professional women swing voters and others in the middle as it was among conservative activists for Palin. In short, the attacks will backfire.

Ayotte also offers the advantage of hailing from not one but two key swing states, New Hampshire and Pennsylvania. She will have been vetted longer and more deeply than Palin was, with far more time available to plan the "roll-out" introducing her to the American public and following up with a longer-term strategy of capitalizing on her assets.

And as was put very well by the blogger Brad Porter at The Crossed Pond, "Ayotte has it all. And, most importantly, she brings it all to the table without significant detriments or lapses to her politicality. She can speak to kitchen table economic issues, without the baggage of CEO-ness. She can talk to new audiences without being radically different from them. She can add to Romney's message in other areas without undercutting him. She can look qualified without being old hat. She can speak to the middle class family experience, and offers no real purchase for arguments about being out of touch or of a totally alien economic caste in the same way they'll bury Romney alive with it. She can, in other words, add to the campaign, with no significant subtracting."

I’m trying to figure you out . . .would you vote for Newt, Santorum, Or Cain, or Sarah Palin??

All four have endorsed either Romney or Condi for VP.

What are you waiting for? Choose you this day whom you will vote on. Make sure it’s a name that someone would recognize b/c face it, no one’s going to win at this point unless his/her name is a house-hold name.

If Condi's a woman of her word, it's a moot point.
