The White House Now Controls All Private Communications in the United States
Kulture Kritic ^ | July 11, 2012 | Staff

In a shocking revelation on RT.com, it has been reported that President Barack Obama’s White House has now quietly taken control over all private electronic communications in the United States. The move was made in the name of national security and has some civil liberties groups quite concerned.

President Obama signed an Executive Order on Friday, July 6. The order was a statement provided as the “Assignment of National Security and Emergency Preparedness Communications Functions.”

This is considered to be the broadest move yet by the White House when it comes to expanding the power of the federal government.

“The Federal Government must have the ability to communicate at all times and under all circumstances to carry out its most critical and time sensitive missions,” the president begins the order. “Survivable, resilient, enduring and effective communications, both domestic and international, are essential to enable the executive branch to communicate within itself and with: the legislative and judicial branches; State, local, territorial and tribal governments; private sector entities; and the public, allies and other nations.”

The Obama Administration says that the executive order allows them to be able to reach any citizen, at any time, under critical circumstances.

“Such communications must be possible under all circumstances to ensure national security, effectively manage emergencies and improve national resilience.”

The order establishes a government center that will coordinate the efforts behind the order. The center is designed to be prepared to operate in the event of a national emergency. The order, according to the website for National Communications Systems, says that “infrastructure includes wireline, wireless, satellite, cable, and broadcasting, and provides the transport networks that support the Internet and other key information systems.”

The interpretation is that the government now officially controls the Internet and everything you own on it. The government also has the ability to “seize private facilities and limit civilian communications.

I’m at the point now where I’m buying up as many CBs as I can, and handing them off to friends.

I encourage everyone to stock up on CBs, and learn to use them set them up, and repair them.

There is also nothing wrong with devising a little code for you and yours.

They cannot have the people using cell phones and the internet to coordinate against the Zero as they did in Egypt.

I have my CB.. had it for years..

I suggest something with more power as well. A ham radio. When Zero cuts us off, we are going to need more than a few mile relay service.

There are quite a number of different type radios that will easily access 11 and 10 meter and other bands for easy communications that the Gubmint will have difficulty stopping. They will be able to locate sources but only the easy pickin' ones.

Get 10 meter able, keep it low power and communicate quickly then stop. Then move on. Of course this is for post SHTF scenarios.

The place I got all of my current equipment was on eBay. Have a look for Galaxy radios. They'll do CB (11 meter) and some will do 10 meter ham.

You can also get a ton of other stuff there to to get setup....antennas, frequency counters, etc.

If you can find one, the Cherokee CBS-1000 can easily be converted to receive and transmit on 400 frequencies above and below standard CB frequencies. May be hard to find these days though.

As for education material...do a web search for the ARRL (Amateur Radio Relay League) website. From there you can find tons of info. You'll be a pro in no time.

“Been this way since the Telecom act of 1934 and The War Powers Act.”

If that is the case, why did BO need to use Executive powers to get this done? If it’s always been this way, why did he need to do anything? Just wondering.

Next thing the brown shirts will be cruising around watching for ham radio antennas and pulling them down.

I guess a long wire in the trees would work for "short distances".

Electronic communication is a crutch. It encourages instant information and less-considered planning and thinking. NOTHING you write, say, or do electronically escapes the NSA - NOTHING. It’s just a matter of the amount of information they have to sift through and the timeframe in which to react. Avoiding trigger words and phrases are queue uppers. Get on that list and nothing you do will be private.

Mouth to ear. Out of sight, LOS or from satellite and muffled enough not to carry is the only option, but if you’re targeted, even that isn’t enough.

Does “10 meter able” really mean Cable???

10 meters is the wavelength for 27-28Mhz frequency band where CB radio is authorized to transmit. It has nothing to do with cable.

And a license is not required to operate Citizen Band radio, although it used to be back in the "old days". The legal max power for CB is, I think, 5 Watts.

A license is still required to operated on the Amateur radio (HAM) bands where the legal operating power is, or at least used to be, 1000watts.
