Last Friday (June 29) House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa pulled one off on AG Eric Holder. The lockup of Fast and Furious documents by the administration, many of which are under judicial seal, was shattered by his use of Congressional Immunity. Mr. Issa has received a number of leaked documents from unnamed sources. In particular he has copies of wiretap applications which put a lie to AG Eric Holder’s contention that no senior officials at DOJ had knowledge that guns were allowed to walk into uncontrolled hands. Issa has now opened a door that permits him get his leaked documents into the public domain legally and with impunity.
When Fast and Furious was conceived, it was the perfect crime. Guns purchased by straw purchasers would be allowed to walk into the hands of Mexican drug cartels with the blessing of the DOJ, which developed and ran the operation. There were no tracking devices (RFIDs) attached to the guns, the Mexican Government was not informed, and US law enforcement personnel were ordered not to interfere with movement of the weapons. All actions that could have made this a legitimate operation were ignored or countermanded. More likely it was an effort to generate publicity when the “walked” guns from the US turned up at violent cartel crime scenes. Then that publicity would be used create a ground swell of publicity to ban the sale of assault weapons. It was the perfect crime because Justice, which ran the operation, could stymie any investigation or prosecution should any glitches happen. And Democrats controlled both houses of Congress so no investigation with subpoena powers would happen. Just as with Justice, Congress would see no evil,

Holder actually believes that his job is to protect his office and to protect the President. He doesn’t understand that his job is to protect the American people. Anyone that feels this way, needs to be removed from office.
Holder is there to protect Holder’s people. That is a fairly small subset of the USA.
Holder needs to swing for this.

The whole clan has the “It’s all about me” attitude. They may be smart but they’ve yet to realize there are smarter adults that can play this game. I’m sure Issa has achieved a level of grim satisfaction playing their kind of ball.

Holder knows exactly what his job is.
He knows that his job is to protect the American people.
Holder refuses to do his job at the bequest of Barrack Obama. Holder and Obama are entwined in their own agenda.
An agenda that includes Socialism, Marxism,and racism.

While we dither on Fast and Furious, Obama and Holder tell our agents to let drug deals go through the border, accelerating the FAst and Furious program, expanding it and ultimately overtly inviting terrorists, expanding the means of destruction of America in a comprehensive general strategy based on “moling” investigations into actual help to terrorists.

This is what I mean by Holder protecting the President and his agenda, not the American people.
