Obama Adviser Urges Democrats to Take Offensive on Taxes
Semi-News/Semi-Satire ^ | 30 June 2012 | John Semmens

Posted on 07/01/2012 1:01:00 AM PDT by John Semmens

White House adviser David Plouffe urged fellow Democrats to take the offensive on the tax issue in the campaign to reelect the President.

“The GOP is trying to twist Justice Roberts’ words into a campaign slogan implying that we favor imposing taxes on average Americans,” Plouffe contended. “The truth is that the President and the Democratic Party are not in favor of raising taxes on everyone. We are in favor of raising penalties on the non-compliant.”

Plouffe emphasized that “it is absolutely critical that we clarify this distinction to the electorate. Those who are cooperating with the President’s agenda—whether it be through buying the mandated health insurance, signing up for food stamps, hiring an undocumented worker, or whatever—have nothing to fear. They will get waivers, subsidies, and pardons as needed. All they have to do is help make sure the President is reelected.”

Just how far will they go to penalize?

Who will be penalized on live TV to be made into a scare tactic?

What about repeat penalizers, will they get life in prison or the gas chamber, or shot?

Basically they are outright saying pay taxes or suffer our wrath.

Oh yeah, that sounds a lot better than calling a tax a tax.

What a bunch of maroons. Dangerous maroons though.

If the Dems thought the court got it wrong, why doesn’t someone appeal? If Roberts got it wrong and it’s not a tax, then the whole thing goes up in smoke.

Hitler had penalties for the non-compliant - a choice of either stepping into the gas chamber, or if you don’t, we will shoot you!

How amusing. Roberts plays the judicial version of “twister” to save the law and calls it a tax, the dems celebrate their victory by subsequently marching right out and calling it a penalty. So, it’s a tax on a Thursday but a penalty on a Sunday. And that is supposed to make sense or seem just to the average American?!?

But hey, if your Jonny Roberts you can pat yourself on the back and tell yourself, “I sure did preserve the legitimacy of the Court!!”. Meanwhile, in realville it turns out all Jonny did was make the SC another house of Congress. Psst, oh Jonny that stuff on your face is the pie the demos just threw in it.

Non-compliant = ignorant sponges who won’t pay for health insurance. Obama stepped in a steaming pile this time. That’s his base.

Send David Plouffe this memo: In oral arguments before the Supreme Court, the administration's attorneys argued — as they knew they had to — that the mandate was constitutional as a tax. If their lips are moving people, they are LYING, period!

The more we speak the truth in calling Obamacare a tax the more we incite the left.

Its a tax, its a penalty tax, its a tax for non compliance.

If my truck breaks down and I ride a bike to work and my state says I must have auto insurance but I suspend that insurance because the truck is dead they can then legally garner my wages, confiscate the truck, sell my home at an auction?

Seems to be the exact same thing.

Its no wonder they should be very afraid of it being a tax, it has backed America up agaisnt a cliff, gave them a loaded gun and told them who the enemy is.
