Whoo Hoo! Problem solved!
Bump!
Police used to just transport them to the state line. Can they do that any more?
I love it. Have Joe set up another tent city where farmers can pay the state a wage for legal labor in their fields. Then the illegal immigrants can actually be useful and help pay for all those that have not been caught.
A simple EXECUTIVE ORDER by Jan Brewer should be all that’s required.
Legally.
And let Obama/Holder sue to stop her.
Then repeat with a new law that’s 1% different. Rinse-Repeat all the way to November.
I just read an article about the millions of dollars that some states will need to spend cleaning Japanese debris from their beaches. Why can’t Arizona contract with Oregon to provide free labor for the clean up process? Problem solved.
That destroys job prospects for legal Americans, right?
Just have them mine for gold, ,anywhere.
Here is something to consider.
Illegal immigrants are not citizens of the united states. An argument can (and has) been made that they are still protected by the Federal Constitution. Since the courts have ruled that illegal immigrant prosecution and deportation is exclusively at the privilege of the fed, then Arizona could detain them as criminals (no legal argument their) but not have the power to prosecute them or allow them habeus corpes.
Logically, they can be detained as criminals but not charged as they are not citizens and the state has no jurisdiction to prosecute but a duty to apprehend them.
If the feds come a knockin, have an equal number of state troopers waiting on them.
What are they gonna do? Arrest police officers that threaten to arrest them?
Hmmmm. We should bill the Feds for that.
AZ should provide a one way bus ticket to all illegals: To Washington DC.
The Feds have a lot more and larger weapons to deploy against recalcitrant states. And enough troops who would obey “Fire on Citizens Order.”
The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.Arizona could declare itself under invasion from Mexico, and file an appeal to the Supremes for a Writ of Mandamus to order the Obama administration to enforce the law.
I'm not thinking we are there quite yet.
True, they do have bigger toy’z, but guerrilla warfare can create quite the headache.
Ain't fraid no ghost-ezz!
Since obama has stated his plans not to deport certain groups of illegals, can’t he be sued personally in civil court for the costs that the states inquire because of his refusal to do his job. obama did take an oath of office, and he has now refused to keep his oath and that will cost the states millions, if not billions of dollars.

Those are OUR weapons, we paid for them. The Feds don't own sh_t. Politicians and bureaucrats are OUR servants and stewards of OUR property. If they EVER use OUR weapons against us illegally, they will trip the wire and will soon regret their fatal error. When push comes to shove, I am reasonably confident that the majority of LEOs and military personnel will be on our side.
No, that’s a hallmark of a bygone era. It was referred to as dumping where one state would deal with it’s criminals and miscreants by dumping them into another state. The problem is obvious: It doesn’t actually deal with the criminal, it just makes him someone else’s problem.
You are wrong. My neighbor recently retired from the Army as a Lt. Colonel. He led troops in the field for 20 years. I asked what would happen if an order came down to fire on US Citizens and also violate Posse Comitas. He said very few officers would obey this order. I asked what about the Non Coms and enlisted. He said most would refuse, some would desert the army and become part of a resistance movement.
It must also be noted that under Uniform Code of Military Justice, a soldier has the legal duty "not to carry out an illegal order."If he carries out an order that he knows to be illegal, he also can be prosecuted.
You can't have it both ways. They can't have constitutional rights, and not be allowed habeus corpus, which is a constitutional right.
Btw, just to beat anyone to it, aliens do indeed have constitutional rights.
If aliens had no rights under the Constitution, they might not only be banished, but even capitally punished, without a jury or the other incidents to a fair trial. But so far has a contrary principle been carried, in every part of the United States, that except on charges of treason, an alien has, besides all the common privileges, the special one of being tried by a jury, of which one-half may be also aliens.--James Madison
Arizona needs a nice wall on the border ;-)
So put em to work on building one.
Sheriff Joe could manage the details I’m sure.
That was my point. I could have been clearer but failed in an arrogant attempt to be clever. The courts ruling essentially allows Arizona to check and arrest illegal immigrants but not to prosecute or deport.
Am I confused?
I do not believe that. But everyone is entitled to their opinion.
Start checking for immigration papers at DUI checkpoints.
Make the same Supreme Court which told you it was okay to stop legal US Citizens and search their vehicles and bloodstream for alcohol why you can’t search illegal non-citizens for their papers.
This case would give them legal indigestion and tie the entire court system in knots for the next thirteen years.
I wonder if Obama won't help Arizona because he's afraid that Fast And Furious guns will eventually be found combing back across the border with an illegal alien. It's just a matter of time.
He doesn't want to step up illegal immigration enforcement because if they find a gun, everything would begin to unravel. He's using immigration as an excuse to look the other way on everything else.

It's not really a problem, when there are people actively inviting illegals into their communities; also known as sanctuary cities.
Any state that wants to deal with captured illegals should do it this way. Capture and verify they are illegal. Seize all assets that the state can legally seize from them, and place the rest into storage; billing the individual. Setup a one way ticket; with a bag lunch, a juice box and $20 or whatever a parolee of the state would receive on release, to the nearest sanctuary city, out side the state. Drive them there, dump them off and bring the bus back for another load.
If the liberals want to stand there with open arms, they should get as many illegals as can be captured and transported.
Agreed. For the foreseeable future, this nation will not be taken over by force. There are too many of us that would still give our lives for the freedom our ancestors and forefathers fought for. And by the way, most of us are armed and some of those are capable of arming the rest of us.
It wouldn’t take a lot to do the job...but that’s just my opinion, as you say. It’ll never happen anyway.

Absolutely! Have you sent this to her office?
Presidents like Barack Husein Obama who choose not to uphold the Constitution and law of the land are liable for IMPEACHMENT not law suit. Unfortunately, we have a congress that has allowed many presidents, G.W. Bush and others included, to bypass the constitution and rule by fiat aka executive orders. Our republic is suffering because we have congresses who fail to investigate, impeach and/or have prosecuted - lawless presidents, congressmen & judges. “Lawless” here simply means: failure to uphold the constitution and laws of the land. Presidents and judges who create laws SHOULD BE IMPEACHED. Congressmen who allow presidents and judges to make laws - SHOULD BE IMPEACHED. The greatest threat to the nation has been apathetic congresses who wouldn’t know the constitution if it hit them where the sun don’t shine. We are being rules by those who have no regard for the constitution.
I was referring more the practice of dumping, rather than how it applies specifically to this situation with immigrants.

I can't even fathom how this makes sense to you, so no real point in discussing it further.
Are you finished with your bullshit rant? Because if you are, I might clarify that I never said “most.” But since your head is so far up your ass (sideways), you are too irrational to read. So I will refrain from bothering.
Hoorah, lil’ dickhead.
Well said, and I am very grateful for your service to our country. Thank you.
I would like to believe that all the men and women in our armed forces have the ability to discern which commands to obey vs. which not to obey. However, I think this is expecting too much of soldiers who are trained to trust their commander. It’s a “rare” soldier who is willing to suffer court martial for disobeying a direct order. What will soldiers do when they are convinced by their commander that what they’re doing is the right thing to do? Will they fire on citizens who they’ve been told are subversive and/or dangerous? Will they be able to discern good citizens from the so-called dangerous? How will they do this? Would U.S. soldiers, presumably National Guard, fire on U.S. civilians? A look back at the civil unrest of the 60’s will give us a clue to the answer.
That wasn’t “good,” it was a BS-filled rant. I never said “most.” In fact I later said it would only take a few miscreants to kill a lot of citizens.
But go ahead and join your little friend and pile on this old FReeper.
It's simple. Thanks to the liberals in this country, there are two America's now, and they are headed on an unstoppable collision course. The only reason the country is in the mess its in is because Conservatives have been playing Mr. Nice guy, and have protected the libs from themselves.
Well, I say it's time to stop. In fact, I say it's time to help them reach the liberal nirvana they are looking for. Libs want illegals in their cities and states; let's do all we can to fill 'em to the brim. Libs want draconian regulations in their cities and states, let 'em have them; drive those businesses out.
Conservatives need to move out of areas dominated by libs, and shold erect ideological barricades around them, so that the madness that infects them doesn't spread any further than it has. When reality comes crashing down on the sane people that are left; things will truly change. The recent doings in WI are a prime example.
When faced with the reality of what liberalism does to a city/state/country, and led by a leader with convictions, a majority of people in this country will choose to roll back, or completely eliminate liberal polices and trends.
I don't know about the legality of my idea; I will admit it is harsh, though. Realistically, it's a heck of a lot nicer than US citizens get treated in countries around the world all the time.
Simple fact is that if we don't start acting like a-holes towards liberals now; and I mean real tough love type of actions, then we as a people are going to be killing each other in another Civil War that will make the first one look like child's play. To be honest, I'm not even 100% sure if that is avoidable as it is.
