Sixty SouthCoast Residents learned about Agenda 21, SmartGrowth, Sustainable Development and other threats to their constitutional right to own property at an informative presentation at the Fall River Public Library in Fall River, MA. monday evening This group of patriotic and concerned citizens took time out of their busy lives to learn the facts about a devious plot hatched at the United Nations in 1987 under the guise of “saving the planet and the environment", called Agenda 21.

They had all heard the horror stories of communities and businesses severely inundated by ridiculous environmental regulations and restrictions from a vast array of government agencies, regional councils, and NGO's (non-government agencies filled with environmental extremists), none of whom have any accountability what-so-ever to the voters.

It is well past time to get the US out of the UN and the UN out of the US.

This one-world crap will be the spark that ignites the second revolution, IMO. And, 0bama and the 0bamunists are setting up the US to follow that ridiculous tripe that is Agenda 21.

Wow. Seriously? This is 2012 and this is the first time that they have heard of Agenda 21? Where have they been for the last 20 years? With their heads in the sand? Wow. You know, I’ve now changed my outlook. We are indeed doomed as the average person is an outright idiot. Guess I am NOT surprised.

Great write-up on the meeting. What a nightmare! People have no idea these goons are on the march.

"Smart Growth"...oh yeah, that's the concept whereby we pile all our new buildings on top of each other, creating gigantics masses of concrete which act to attract and hold heat, raising the ambient temperature in the area by several degrees and thus contributing to global warming - real smart......

I’m a little behind on my reading, but your post hit home. This is important enough that you would have thought FreeRepublic would have given you more hits than 7. Great post though.

I live in Los Angeles and they are building government subsidized housing in my neighborhood. I had no say about it, they didn’t tell us it was for Mexican women and their American children, nor did they tell us it was going to be 4 stories tall.

People have trouble believing that there is an educated group, schools and think tanks, actively producing people that want to overthrow the American way of thinking. Capitalism.

Your state and my state are testing grounds to see what the progressives can get away with. If I walk outside, no one would believe that 9 out of 10 people I talk to speak Spanish only. Many schools are 100% English learners and Free Lunch.

Here in Los Angeles, the stated objective is to create housing so dense that cars are useless, we will be forced to live along the transportation corridor living in housing that is a mixture of market rate housing and subsidized housing. Desegregation all over again. The stores will all be mom and pop stores because limited parking will prohibit large volumes of buyers, no more Costco or Home Depot.

I laid a lot of this out in a forum arguing with some guy named Carlos. It might be of use to you.

Thanks for your comment which I just discovered as I’m about to post an other article. So I’ll digest it when I have an chance. The article did generate a lot of readers according to my tracking software, but only a handful left comments which is usually the case. This topic is old news to a lot of Free Republic readers, apparently, but the implementation of Agenda 21 and “sustainable development” is taking place everywhere and we all need to stay on top of it. My latest post is about the 20th anniversary of the 1992 Earth Summit that took place in Rio this week, which turned out to be a big flop. So there is hope.
