"Newt Gingrich repeatedly discussed this EXACT metaphor during his (active) campaign ... especially the "Victory or Death" aspect ... "
I'm sure I read that Newt endorsed Romney?

It was reported incorrectly that Newt endorsed Romney. In fact, Newt suspended his campaign and said Romney would be better than O.

Sounds good to me!! That being said, put me on the list to show up in Tampa. I am on the Space Coast and would love to ‘get together’ with other patriots.

I take a back seat to no one in wishing Romney’s implosion before Tampa, but I do wonder why so many people believe Sarah Palin would allow her family to endure the things that stopped her from running for President — for the second spot on a ticket for the second election running?

Wouldn't that be wonderful! I hope you're right.
On the other hand, being a realist, I have prepared myself to have shake my head at even Palin if she goes the "pragmatic" route of lose by winning with a fundamental liberal.
I hope you're right. I'm praying for a miracle that includes Mitt Romney vanquished.

Condi Rice is NOT pro-life, so why float her name? LOL.
I continue to pray.
Nothing is set in cement. That convention is 3 months from now.
I have faith that God will help us save our Republic.

I had a call today from an RNC fund raiser. I read him the riot act about Romney, McCain, Dole, Romney some more and rinos in general. Then went on to the disdain displayed towards the base and conservative candidates. Then the lack of testicular fortitude on the part of the GOP-E. Then made him promise to pass all that on to the upper levels of the RNC. I was in his ear for a good five minutes.

Perhaps she saw early on that the true conservative vote would get split 6 or 7 ways, leading to what we have now.
That’s why I’m advocating another Dan’s Bake Sale-type event in Tampa during the Convention: 80,000 of us making a
Last Stand for Conservatism.
I am not sayingthat necessarily replace Romney as much as remind him who he is gonna answer to.
I would hate to look back at 2012 and wonder what could have been if only I had DONE SOMETHING.......

One hundred thousand at Tampa with NUTS printed on their forehead. Might the delegates get a hint?

Well, Sarah and the rest sure surprised DC with TEA in Nov ‘10... RATS and RINOS honestly didn’t believe it could happen, even though they saw it coming.
Is there any reason to believe the people who made Nov ‘10 happen have any less motivation to do something even bigger this November, when the stakes are 20X higher?

Under number 5 you forgot one person.
Ron Paul..
Put him in charge of the fed. Oh would that be fun!
I mean, as long as we are dreaming. While I hope what you say comes true.. I suspect we’re stuck with willard and his supporters.
To: Patton@Bastogne
Sarah Palin is not interested in the VP slot again.
Sheesh.. Get a grip.
Other than that, nice work, and very interesting speculation.
Thanks for posting that - - lots of food for thought there.

Mitt and the GOP-e scorched Earth policy against Conservatives was successful. What's a shame is that most conservatives are apparently too cowardly to scorched earth those jerks right back.
