Black box legislation a threat to personal freedoms
BizPac Review ^ | Alan Bergstein

I fear for the loss of our freedoms and liberties under the Obama administration. We expect our government to be run by people we elect. If they don't perform well, we have the opportunity to throw them out. But with the proliferation of "czars" appointed by the president, we are out of the loop when it comes to controlling our own destinies. They are in charge of such areas as borders, Medicare, manufacturing, electronic health records, faith-based initiatives, workplace issues and so on. The list now contains about 35 czars, whose names, backgrounds and goals we know nothing about. Van Jones, the disgraced "green jobs" czar and buddy of Obama, had to resign when he was outed as a self-declared communist.

Don't worry. Your black box won't trigger a drone attack unless you break the rules.

YOU took the words right out of my mouth. And we worry for our pistol privileges, up against sky drones and black box ground coordinates. Kind of makes one wonder where the humor is in all this high tech subjugation. Certainly makes all that boarding of trains look archaic.

This government is pushing an agenda we are paying for, to control and monitor us. Wonder if the box has a motor kill switch, ability to control where your car can go. They want to take your passport if you owe the IRS.

Brzezinski wrote a book years ago, about the elite controlling the masses through technology.

I don’t think anyone needs to know where I’m going or how fast I intend to get there. As for cost, helloooo?! They want to pass on costs for everything to the consumer, higher gas mileage, epa standards, black boxes. Soon we’ll all be riding bikes.

Police Use of GPS Is Ruled Unconstitutional NYT

Supreme court rules unanimously, violated the constitution. (Jan 2012)

Many of our freedoms are taken in steps. Remember Pelosi talking about how they were going to find anyway to pass Obamacare. Wonder who initiated and is asking for this.

should of read the who article. Sponsored by Barbara Boxer. This technology would allow them to tax you by the mile, or driving violations.

It helps set the stage to advance their green agenda

Obama administration floats draft plan to tax cars by the mileMay 2011

...report that supported the idea of taxing drivers based on miles driven.

Among other things, CBO suggested that a vehicle miles traveled (VMT) tax could be tracked by installing electronic equipment on each car to determine how many miles were driven; payment could take place electronically at filling stations. The CBO report was requested by Senate Budget Committee Chairman Kent Conrad (D-N.D.), who has proposed taxing cars by the mile as a way to increase federal highway revenues.
