You've got to hand it to Goode. He was excoriated for past comments on the Islamic threat but he keeps on plugging.

Washington, DC - Congressman Virgil Goode (website) linked the resolution to what he calls the threat from radical Islam. He says the non-binding resolution opposing the President's plan would "comfort and encourage the radical Muslims who want to destroy our country."
Congressman Goode is not sure a troop surge is the answer but says the non-binding resolution against it would provide comfort to the enemy. He says enemies like Osama Bin Laden want to see the US defeated in Iraq.
Rep. Virgil Goode, (R) Virginia - "The Islamic jihadists want to control not only the Middle East but the world. And that is a long range battle between the United States and them and really the world that does not agree with them."
As you know, Congressman Goode angered Muslims last year when he warned that more Muslims would be elected to Congress unless immigration was limited.
Right now, Goode has my vote.
I really hope he gains traction and Romney fades. If there’s a decent enough candidate, I can see the party completely abandoning Romney-especially after the Etch-a-Sketch continually resurfaces in ways that conveniently flip the bird to conservatives.
