Zimmerman's apology rings hollow because of human history (More idiocy)
The Examiner ^ | April 21, 2012 | John Guzzardo

Posted on 04/21/2012 10:32:36 AM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

George Zimmerman apologized to the family of Trayvon Martin in court a few days ago. The killing of a young African American male by a white male has raised not only questions about the “Stand Your Ground” laws in Florida, but also questions about race relations nationally. What Zimmerman felt in his heart is anyone’s guess; the apology seemed heartfelt.

Unfortunately, to many, it already rings hollow.

At issue here isn’t whether or not Zimmerman is really guilty or innocent, whether he had malicious intent or was defending himself against what he perceived as imminent danger to his own life. The issue remains the fact that Zimmerman is white, and Martin is black. While this shouldn’t be an issue, it is. Fortunately, the concept of “reasonable doubt” still holds true in a courtroom, but in the “real world,” reasonable doubt is tantamount to “he got off on a technicality.”

Yet, this brings up one huge double standard: that ethnic minorities need to be given a much lower threshold of reasonable doubt than Caucasians. While this may be true in some cases, the problem is that paints a very broad stroke with a very brittle brush. Ethnic minorities are viewed with suspicion for the simple fact they are just that: a minority. In every culture, no matter where you go, minorities are viewed as potential troublemakers. Take Germany in the 1930s: the Jewish minority were viewed as potential troublemakers – look where that went. France of today: Muslims are a minority, and they are viewed as troublemakers, even through the vast majority are peaceful. This has led to calls for harsh anti-immigration laws in that country....

Please show me the numerous concentration camps where whites are keeping their black enemies captive while stealing their gold teeth and killing them with poison gas. Instead, I'll show you racial preferences, set-asides, affirmative action and trillions in welfare dollars aimed at helping blacks. I'll show you a black president, two secretaries of state, an attorney general and numerous black politicians, celebrities, sports heroes, businesspeople and civil servants. The civil war paid the debt, we are now on the plus side so much it is impossible to calculate. Yet the "racial justice" industry keeps chugging along as if it were 1920 and the Klan was millions strong all over the country.

So long as the concept of white guilt continues to hold ground among Caucasian people, this will continue. I of course also blame blacks who try to keep the ball rolling, but you can’t play guilt games where no guilt exists.

Lies.

Zimmerman is Peruvian by his mother.

He doesn’t even look white.

Zimmerman didn’t apologize.

He said he felt sorry for them for losing their son.

That is not the same, at all, as saying he’s responsible, because if it was self defense, he was NOT.

“Unfortunately, to many, it (the apology) already rings hollow.”

http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/courts_law/trayvon-martin-parents-arrest-will-start-healing-process-but-theyre-working-for-conviction/2012/04/11/gIQAjEp5AT_story.html

“I would probably give him an opportunity to apologize,” Martin’s mother, Sybrina Fulton, told The Associated Press in an interview.

Ass. Pimps article, today: `Zimmerman is sorry for shooting, gets $150K bail’
“An attorney for Martin’s parents, who were in the courtroom when Zimmerman spoke, spurned the apology. The parents, Tracy Martin and Sybrina Fulman, had no comment as they left.”
“In taking the stand, Zimmerman opened himself up to questions from the prosecutor, who grilled him on whether he made an apology to police on the night of the shooting, and why he waited so long to express remorse to Martin’s parents.”
No comments needed, just the facts tell us all we need to know.

To accept the apology would be a sign of common human decency. But when your thinking is warped by Marxist race baiting opportunists, moral thinking is down the toilet.

It is to certain people (who belong to a certain political party) advantage to keep black people poor and dependent and living in the ghetto....
Look into:
Valerie Jarrets’ real estate properties in Chicago. ....(She got rich while others of her race lived in squalor.)

Or the rental properties in New Orleans using HUD money ...Again owners got rich while poor lived substandard housing and WE paid for it. Ol man Landreau organized HUD under Jimmy Carter....Boy did he know how to use an abuse the system.

The achievement Blacks have made in America are due in large part to the goodwill and pity of White American's...not their guilt.

Obama and his ilk have taught us that in return for our goodwill, we are not shown gratitude...we are shown an an anger and hatred so deep, it can never be assuaged.

Sad to say, but when I look at a Black person now, the first thing I wonder is..."do they smile to my face but harbor a deep hatred for me in their hearts?"

This is the change Obama has delivered.

At issue here isn’t whether or not Zimmerman is really guilty or innocent, [rubbish that is the issue and the only issue] whether he had malicious intent [of courses intent is in issue is an element of the crime!] or was defending himself against what he perceived as imminent danger to his own life [ Wrong again. The Florida statute permits deadly force not just when one's life is in danger but when one is in danger of great bodily harm: "reasonably believes that such force is necessary to prevent imminent death or great bodily harm "]. The issue remains the fact that Zimmerman is white [the author remain sublimely consistent, Zimmerman is Hispanic, 50% of Peruvian descent, not Caucasian], and Martin is black. While this shouldn’t be an issue, it is. Fortunately, the concept of “reasonable doubt” still holds true in a courtroom, but in the “real world,” reasonable doubt is tantamount to “he got off on a technicality.

This is not a question of reasonable doubt as the author insists it is a question of absence of evidence. Apart from the acknowledged fact that Zimmerman shot Martin, there is literally no evidence, repeat, no evidence that he committed a crime. This is not a technicality, this is basic justice. The author has got it all wrong, there is an issue here and the issue is basic justice.

This article is consistent with a pattern increasingly published by the establishment media which has now come to the realization that Zimmerman is innocent and they have climbed out on a limb which cannot sustain their shameful record of racialism in this case. So now they're crawling back slowly.

It is truly despicable, however, that, while they act now to mitigate damage to themselves by crawling back down the limb, they continue to ruin the life of an innocent man by anticipating the theme that an acquittal will only result because of a "technicality." Nothing could be further from the truth, which truth is unassailably clear from the public record: there is no evidence, none!

I just want to call him cleared and free!

And the parents want money.
The Martin/Fulman’s attorney has probably checked to see if the homeowners’ association has insurance, probably planning on some negligence theory for using neighborhood watchmen. The Zimmerman’s can’t have much.
The parents probably remember that OJ got off, but was then found liable in a civil action although anyone can see the differences between the two cases.
When someone says, “It isn’t the money—it’s the principle of the thing,” you can be damned sure it’s the money.

People like this ‘journalist’ are fueling hate with this absolutely disgusting and indefensible crap. I am not in any possible way responsible for any of the ‘historical’ issues that black activists point to. In fact, no living whites have anything to do with black slavery. American society doesn’t owe any racial group anything at this point in history. Nothing.

Actually, that's projection.

An example of transference is when you feel a certain emotion toward a person because they remind you of someone else who evoked such an emotion. And then there is transference in a clinical setting which involves the transference onto your therapist of emotions etc.

Diversity leftists want to keep Black people’s eyes plastered on the past and hating and blaming whitey so they don’t see what the elitists are up to now:

Rap and welfare culture of death and crime, the oppression of the State’s “care”, failed public education, cleansing of the Black Christian culture, breaking up Black families and the abortion of Black children (planned parenthood’s racial genocide).:(

Question time:
Doesn’t the prosecution have to make available all evidence they have against Zimmerman? Does Zimmerman have to let the State know what evidence they have to prove his innocence?

Was thinking particularly of the picture taken minutes after the incident of Zimmerman’s injury. If that was taken by “John”, did John take other pictures? Pictures during the fight? Would O’Mara have to reveal to the prosecutor the existance of those pictures before presenting them to the Court?

-- Doesn't the prosecution have to make available all evidence they have against Zimmerman? --

Yes. Florida has particularly favorable discovery rules for defendants in criminal cases.

-- Does Zimmerman have to let the State know what evidence they have to prove his innocence? --

Yes, the discovery obligation is mutual. But interestingly, most of the material that evidences his use of justified self defense was investigation by the police! The only witnesses that I could think of (and this is off the wall) would be his mother and brother, to testify the voice yelling "Help!" is Zimmerman - that would counterbalance Sybrina's testimony that she hears Martin.

Yes, if he intends to use them. But I think it's easier for him to just use the police file and his doctor visit (handed over to the prosecutor after the bail hearing) as evidence of his injuries. But yes, anything that he intends to use in his defense, that doesn't come from the state's investigation, is turned over to the prosecution, under Florida's mutual discovery.

I would think that John's description of the man on the bottom in the red jacket yelling for help and the police report of Zimmerman stating he called for help but no assistance came would trump the mothers’ testimony.

I agree. But if there is to be a counterbalance to Sybrina, make it Zimmerman's mom, then the tie goes to the person who actually saw it, and is relatively "uninterested."

Actually the military has great technology in the voice identity area. Family worked on the satellite that tracked Osama’s voice on cell phones. NYT revealed it to the world, but according to the family member the NYT only thought they knew what the technology was capable of doing. It's much more .....;~)

Freeping is a quiet activity that can be done while dad sleeps. He always enjoys what new “news” is on the back yard fence....his term for FR.
He often comments after giving him the latest that America has a big backyard.

He really enjoys it when FR beats FOX in reporting the latest.
