The fat lady has sung. The Republicans have nominated the absolute worst candidate to run against Obama in November. What a joke the GOP has become.
Newt needs to get serious quickly. He needs to tighten up his game, clean up his business and stop making mistakes (like his recent check bouncing in Arizona).
Newt’s biggest opponent has been himself.
We are over halfway through the primaries. People had every chance to vote for Newt. They didn’t, and they won’t now.
Why some people think Newt, who can’t manage his own campaign or money is supposedly a savior is lost on most people.
As foul as people have been to Santorum, I think it is absurd to think people care enough about Newt to bother with him at 135 delegates. whoop tee doo. Newt has been RINO establishment for years. That is why he plopped down on the couch with the leftist Pelosi and was an “historian” for Fannie and Freddie. Geesh.
I don’t care about checks bouncing. I’ll go door to door campaigning for Newt if by some miracle he stops Romney.
Checks bouncing are important if they affect ballot access.

If Newt can stop Romney, I’ll find a way to raise enough money to cover all the bounced checks ten times over.

It isn’t fundraising, it is management. That was a friggin $500 dollar check, and one of the most important checks he can write- ballot filing fees.
He has the money but his infrastructure is a complete cluster.

If you call being 4.5 million dollars in campaign debt having the money. Pretty sure Newt is broke now and just kinda winging it. I think he's just having some fun at this point and staying in the race to maintain some media coverage for his speeches. I'm glad he's in, I think he was the best candidate we had remaining, but I wouldn't hold out much hope at this point.
He writes a rubber check to Utah, a state he had no frigging chance in and couldn't bother writing one to Virginia?

Makes me wonder — is Romney literally financing Fox or something, signing their paychecks? It’s all just so blatant.
Well, I’m here to tell you — I’m not letting Brit Hume, or Carl Cameron, or any of these other TWO BIT FAKE JOURNALISTS and commentators from ANY NETWORKtell ME who the best candidate is, or pronounce anyone dead for lack of money. Wasn’t Virginia where they changed the rules and contested the ballots of Newt’s and Rick’s, but not Ron Paul and Romney? That was where Perry sued, I believe. Don’t recall that it involved writing a check. Another state the RNC closed their eyes.
I’ve come to the conclusion that the country is being fooled into thinking there is a difference between the two parties, between the republican and democratic candidates. The only way we’ll get real hope and change, instead of the usual lies, is getting rid of all the incumbents in both parties, do away with the party system as it now exists, change the selection process for candidates where it’s not based on who has the biggest war chests, but who has the biggest demonstrable brains!
