Former Governors, Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee, were not best buds during the 2008 campaign. No one doubts that. But since Governor Huckabee decided not to run for president this time around, it seems as if they have fixed whatever ailed their relationship. Governor Romney has appeared on Huckabees show, and Huckabee regularly defends Romney against unfair attacks and appears even-handed even when he disagrees with Romney. That is all well and good, and demonstrates the good will and kind demeanor of both governors.
However, Romneys position on the murder of unborn children has not changed since his official declaration in National Review in June of 2011 that he supports the killing of some unborn children:
I am pro-life and believe that abortion should be limited to only instances of rape, incest, or to save the life of the mother.
On the other hand, Governor Huckabee has demonstrated over and over that not a single baby is expendable.
First, he wrote in 2010:
We recognize that each life, every life, is unique and that the loss of one unique life diminishes each of us individually and collectively.... if we lose sight of the sanctity of human life, then we lose our soul.... That is why I will continue to fight, by every legal means available, for the protection of life every life is a life worth fighting for.
Second, Governor Huckabee hosted and his son David produced, the movie , and the former governor argued that contempt and indifference toward any life can become contempt and indifference toward every life, including yours and mine.
Third, Governor Huckabee gave one of the most powerful defenses of human life in a single political speech one might ever hear. He spoke about the concept of human equality at the 2010 Value Voters Summit:

Sure, Huckabee should help reelect Obama, who supports partial birth and post birth abortion in all cases.
Guarantee Huckabee will endorse the nominee against Obama.
He really is an Al Franken wannabe!
Romney will lose to Obama, I know that gets in the way of the wishful thoughts of some but its a simple fact and I’m not going to play let’s pretend with it.
No, he should be a man of principle and refuse to vote for a man who thinks it okay to kill some babies.
Why are we enamored with Partial Birth Abortions? The legislation against it never stopped a single abortion. And infanticide is simply the extension of the refusal to believe that every life is worth saving.
I am with you all the way, cripplecreek.
Huckabee most certainly will endorse and support Romney. The article title is highly deceptive in that it suggests the Huckster has actually made such an announcement. He hasn’t. And you can be 100% sure he will endorse and support Willard.
It is not deceptive. I added three exact quotes. You may end up being right because politicians often say one thing and do another, but it doesn’t mean this article is not speaking the truth.
Why Governor Huckabee Wont Vote For or Support Mitt Romney for President.
I open the article thinking this is some big announcement from Huckabee, or that he has made a statement to this effect previously and I'd somehow missed it.
The article is actually just an opinion piece arguing Huckabee shouldn't vote for or support Willard.
On top of everything else, I can assure you that Huckabee is going to endorse, support and even campaign for Mitt. So will Newt, Santorum, Palin, Perry, etc. They will all rally around the nominee in the end.
Huckabee is a jackass. And, he is directly responsible for McCain being the nominee against Obama. You religious folks need to get over this abortion issue. The most important thing is getting Obama out of office. If he stays, you’d better get comfortable with abortions.
Isn’t David the kid who strung up the dog?
Yes. He will.
Santorum, Gingrich, and Perry have all been correct that Romney does not provide a contrast with Obama. A conservative would give a choice.
With the media in his pocket, Obama will defeat Obama mini-me.
Hmmmm ....
Sounds like your opinion, not Huckabee’s. I really hate it when someone thinks they know a politician so well they can speak for them.
The Huckster was almost french kissing Jerry for being such a wonderful friend and how much he loved him. And Whorealdo proceeded to cover himself with all sorts of self admiration through out the interview. It was a real Projectile vomit show today, and I can imagine what the rest of them will sound like.
I know I will never make the mistake of listening to him ever again. He is a bore and a loser and his show is doomed. The radio stations replacing Rush with Huck, will be begging Rush to please come back soon!
No one gives a chit who Ike Suckerbee would or wouldn’t vote for.
That bears repeating. The article posted was a come-on or I'd have never read it. Huckabee's a jackass.
So you minimize Obama’s extreme pro abortion positions, but you will nitpick Romney’s pro life position?
Even though Romney could appoint conservative justices who woul end federally approved abortion.
Incredible.
Are you aware that the President appoints the USSC Justices?
And that Congress can take abortion out of the purview of the courts?
The Republican Establishment doesn’t want a nominee who is much different from Obama.
They support most of Obama’s positions.
The only thing the gop-e is interested in is having their club members get a chance to be in charge every now and then. They could give a rip about principles or ideology.
Before you meet your Maker in eternity, you anti-religious folks better get over your love for killing children.
Unborn children are not nits.
You said he could pick justices “who woul end federally approved abortion.” I would not count on it - he appointed lots of pro-abortion judges in Massachusetts.
You sure can count on Obama to pick Justices who would permit all abortions and some infanticides.
