Obama will defy Supreme Court if ObamaCare ruled Unconstitutional
Coach is Right ^ | 3/30/2012 | Doug Book

For 2 years, champions of ObamaCare have been careful to lay out the advantages of their federal dictatorship before handpicked audiences of organized labor and supportive media transcriptionists, at events where applause lines have been rehearsed and questions carefully pre-approved.

As a result, the Regime had little idea that anyone of importance might actually disapprove of their 3000 page effort to separate Americans from their liberty.

So, much of the left entered the 3 day, oral argument phase of ObamaCare before the Supreme Court with the same arrogant exuberance which accompanied the passage of the law.

After all, as they saw it only the ruling of a couple of rogue jurists on the 11th Circuit had placed the left’s dream legislation in front of the 9 DC Justices anyhow. And as liberal CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin put it in 2010, challenges against the law were STILL unlikely to succeed, even before the Supremes.

But apparently no one warned liberals like Toobin that arguing on behalf of an unprecedented assault on freedom before honest Supreme Court justices might result in a glitch or two in the left’s plans.

And that glitch has now been described as a “trainwreck” as Toobin and other ObamaCare cheerleaders mourn the reportedly disastrous Tuesday and Wednesday sessions before the Court.

For each of the conservative Justices brought up the same question in his own way: “What is the limiting factor in the law?” That is, if the Federal Government has the power to force the American people to buy insurance, what can it NOT force them to buy? What can it NOT force them to do?

The answer is NOTHING! For ObamaCare was never about...

IMHO, SCOTUS is going to find Barry’s CommieCare “constitutional”. Those justices all have families that they care about.

I hope he does because this will be the moment he reaches too far and the system will then crush him without mercy.

"Posterity! you will never know how much it cost the present generation to preserve your freedom! I hope you will make a good use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in Heaven that I ever took half the pains to preserve it." - John Adams, Letter to Abigail Adams, 1777

What an awesome responsibility the Justices of 2012 now have to Adams and the other Framers of America's Constitution "make good use" of the opportunity they have now to "preserve" freedom for future generations!

If they "do not," then history will record their action as a betrayal of the trust of all the brave men and women who have been willing to sacrifice everything for freedom's cause--from 1776 to now.

May they feel the heavy cloak of responsibility they bear for the freedom of those future generations, and may their opinions recall those ideas of individual liberty so beautifully articulated by the Framers of the Constitution they are sworn to uphold.

"On every question of construction, let us carry ourselves back to the time when the Constitution was adopted, recollect the spirit manifested in the debates, and instead of trying what meaning may be squeezed out of the text, or invented against it, conform to the probable one in which it was passed." - Thomas Jefferson, letter to William Johnson, June 12, 1823, The Complete Jefferson, p. 322.

Don’t think so. The SCOTUS has powerful allies.

That’s my fear. Nothing is beyond the pale for a pro-infanticide, ends-justify-the-means, Marxist.

I don’t see how he could. Anyone who gets fined for not having insurance could take it to court and cite the supreme court ruling. Slam dunk.

I agree. Kagan or Soto will tell obama the outcome of the vote today. That gives the puppetmasters behind obama 2 months to destroy one judge. Or worse.

Who cares if he defies it? We jut won’t obey it if it is declared unconstitutional. As simple as that.

Sorry Flyer, the 5 justices that stand up for the constitution will not bow to pressure and/or implied threats.

Better check with the Cherokee nation on that. If memory serves, Andrew Jackson wasn't too concerned with Justice Marshall's decision on relocating the Cherokees. Jackson served two terms in office, despite ignoring the SCOTUS decision. It's happened before. Could happen again.

That is what I expect.

If the government can make you buy health insurance they can make you buy broccoli and a gym membership too.

Well, we now have a government that is fond of making people offers that they can’t refuse. It’s an old Chicago thing.

Kagan will send a note to 5 of the Justices: "President Obama sends his warmest regards, and personally hopes that your family is well - especially your children and grandchildren."

Who is going to stop him? The Republican Party ? Congress? The Republican Party cannot drop their pants and bend over so that he can screw them one more time fast enough. The Democrats in Congress applaud his actions and and again, the Republicans cannot drop their pants and bend over to service him fast enough. The people? The people are too busy enjoying their freebies, following their sports and entertainment idols on facebook and twitter to be concerned about anything so mundane as their freedom and lives.

Whatever faults obama has, he has the American public figured down to a tee.

I would imagine then that the gutless congress and senate will all of a sudden decide that maybe Obama’s eligibility is something they might want to look into after all.
