The Word From On High: Shut Up About Romney
Mark America ^ | 3/23/2012 | Mark America

Posted on 03/23/2012 6:06:38 AM PDT by Rational Thought

This is what is being pushed today in conservative media. At first, I thought it was just me receiving emails urging me to begin rallying around Romney “for the good of the party” and “for the good of the country.” Apparently, I’m not alone, and apparently, Mark Levin is receiving such emails too. I thank those of you who sent me such emails, but I’ll give you my answer here, in the open: I have deleted your emails with extreme prejudice. (That means that I deleted them, then undeleted them, and deleted them AGAIN…just for fun.) I actually printed one out that had been particularly annoying, and deleted it with a match. The Romney Campaign does not pick the nominee on this blog. Don’t email me as an activist for the Romney campaign, urging me to stop talking about Romney. I’m going to talk about Romney’s extensive failings until he wins or loses. I’m going to remind my readers of the truth about this candidate. While a blog is like an “etch-a-sketch,” or like Mitt Romney(apparently the same,) I am not. Conservatives don’t give up or give over that easily, and I’ll be damned before I’ll be prodded into it.

Even tonight on the promo for the 8pm-er (Bill O’Reilly,) he was hollering about “stop[ping] this stuff.” I see. When Mitt’s campaign staffer came out and shoved both hooves down his own throat on CNN yesterday, we should ignore it, get beyond it, and stop talking about it, but when Newt Gingrich said two words about Mitt Romney’s activities at Bain Capital, we should pile on for weeks on end. Or, when Newt Gingrich’s ex-wife is trotted out to slam him by ABC News, we should talk about it for weeks on end. When Rick Santorum mentions the evils of pornography as an aside, that should dominate the headlines and stories for weeks. When Mitt Romney runs ads accusing his rivals of being less than conservative, while claiming he is, we should ignore Eric Fehrnstrom’s remarks to CNN. I see…

Well, I don’t see! I don’t see why Mitt Romney is somehow exempt, or why it is that the flubs and foibles of his campaign should be ignored, while his own operatives in media spend time hammering away on his opponents. You Romney flacks(and I don’t here mean average Romney supporters, I mean his activist set) are full of yourselves lately, and it’s getting out of control, and there’s a reason your candidate’s negatives are on the steep incline: Your candidate has been repeatedly exposed as non-conservative, and yesterday’s remarks by Fehrnstrom are merely confirmations of what we’ve known.

It’s time to deal with reality. The conservative base of the Republican party doesn’t want another establishment candidate. They may be divided over which of the others should be the anti-Mitt, but they’re sure it shouldn’t be him. The reason is simple, and despite the cajoling, I’m not going away, and I’m not going to forget. I’m going to remind my readers every time it strikes me to do so that Mitt Romney is fatally flawed. Today, Barack Obama provided an example of what he’s going to do to Romney over health-care, and it’s why Romney will abandon the issue of Obamacare come the Fall campaign.

Get ready for it. Get ready for it to be the issue Romney avoids like the plague, and Obama is already testing the waters of his campaign on that basis. (More on that later.) The thing to realize is that the Romney campaign and all of its myriad establishment surrogates are making a big push to kill this process off before they get to the states in which he’ll be weak. More, the Etch-a-Sketch remark is doing substantial damage because it taps into what many conservatives worried about Romney from the outset: He’s ideologically flimsy at best, and I would argue simply vacuous. While none of the writers who contacted me on Thursday on Romney’s behalf admitted or purported to be part of the Romney official campaign, I noticed none of them were subscribers to this blog either. That’s the giveaway, along with the very narrow window in which all the emails arrived. Conservatives shouldn’t permit themselves to be bullied by the Romney campaign. You can bet I won’t.

I think of Romney as being essentially John Kerry with an ‘R’ by his name.

The Romney campaign will reap what it sows. It will suffer from a lack of grassroot conservative passion and enthusiasm, just like McCain did. The only way to defeat Obama is through the unity and fire we saw during the 2000 presidentail election. At this point, there simply IS none...

I’ll repost the comment here for convenience’s sake:

“THE RNC Chariman Reince Priebus was on Greta last night and Greta asked him how if MItt Romney was the nominee that he was going to be able to take on Obamacare since he was the author of Romneycare. Priebus said that Romney has stated that he would appeal ObamaCare or “most of it”. I got the impression that Priebus and others like Bondi have already started pushing that Romney will not completely do away with ObamaCare but rather tweak it.”

The establishment is setting the stage for another “compromise” just like the debt ceiling where nothing substantial will change. Even in the face of such obvious evidence, it’s disturbing that so many people are falling for the lie that Romney our solution to Obama.

Right now, the Etch-a-Sketch says, “I’m a conservative.”

After the convention, it will say, “I’m a moderate.”

After the election, it will say, “Fooled ya!”

(Oh, was that negative?)

Good article.

Last time I checked, the primary is still on-going.

. . .

I think it’ll be worse. The base was demoralized with McCain whereas it’ll be depressed with Romney.

“...will not completely do away with ObamaCare but rather tweak it.”

That bill has at least TWO generations of Congressional horsetrading and re-election fund raising in it....it doesn’t go away until We the People repeal it.

Etch-a-Sketch cannot run against obamacare since he was the godfather of obamacre

So Etch is going to be a one-issue candidate-
the economy

And no matter HOW BAD we KNOW is the economy, the entire US government and establishment MEDia and obama’s financial handlers will juice the economy for the next 10 months and leave Etch on the debating podium holding his schlong in his hand

Not to mention once the nomination is clinched for Etch, the anti-religious MEdia will make the mormon church look like the insane stepchild of the scientologists

Hello obama, 4 more years of taxpayer paid vacation for this incompetent and his obnoxious Winnie Mandela wannabe wife, ruinous inflation, basic commodities shortages, rationed health care, unstable foreign relations, and a global economic crash

How many of us can survive until 2016? Well Jim DeMint Jeb Bush, Bob Dole and Ann Coulter will be eating and traveling just fine

I came close to whistling and stomping — and that would look very silly as I just got out of the tub, but damn if that didn’t hit every single point that I have ever wanted to make about Mitt.

Well, all except one. He wouldn’t stand a chance against Obama even if he did get the nomination. The nanosecond he is “officially” the nominee, the media long knives are going to come out. Don’t for a minute think that they have used everything they have on him. They have had years to prepare for this and file away stink-bombs for use when they would be most effective. And with Mitt, that’s already a target rich environment, so who knows what they’ve found.

It will be even worse than what happened to McCain because old Juan was too thick to even really see it was happening. Mitt is going to be devastated when all of those jolly fellows and nice ladies who have been so friendly these last few months suddenly decide to turn him into sushi.

Another cheery thought for a Friday evening.

Got to hand it to the GOPe. They rock when it comes to picking the worst possible candidate for the presidency every election, but they've set a new standard with GaffmasterMitt.

The sad thing about the Romney campaign is they really need the primary to end, because the more you get to know Mitt and know about Mitt, the less there is to like.

He can't win on his charisma or his record, so he'll buy it via massive negative campaign ad attacks and the full backing of the GOPe with foot soldier backup. And even with all of that, where's the love for Mitt?

I phoned DeMint's Washington Office and let him have it with both barrels. I contributed to the Sentate Conservatives Fund before 2010, but I will be damned if DeMint controls any more of my money. I will still give to individual campaigns, but DeMint should know better than run at the mouth about an "un-official" endorsement of Obama Romney.

This is not football, where we might support Tebow in Denver and oppose him with the Jets, or vice versa. The point of getting rid of Obama is that he is a far left socialist who is destroying America as a free country (the fact that he enjoys destroying our country because he hates most Americans is not the real problem, it's that he is an extreme big government liberal). To replace Obama with Romney, who also believes in socialized medicine, in harsh, unconstitutional gun restrictions, and in a government solution for every problem misses the point on getting rid of Obama.

Obama is by far the most liberal occupant of our White House in history. To replace Obama with Romney, who is also far more liberal than Clinton, Carter, LBJ, JFK, or even FDR is not really solving the problem. If the Republican Party wants my vote, they need to give me a reason. Convincing someone with Romney's views to recite occasional conservative words from his teleprompter is not going to do it, not even if he puts on our t-shirt and calls himself a "severe conservative".

Sorry, but the shirt doesn't fit Mitt - even before he shakes the Etch a Sketch.

The cancer of Obama”care” now extends to choosing a “Public health expert for the World Bank Presidency.”
_______

The major problem with THE NINE SUPREMES is that they are chosen for political reasons by the POTUS, and then they vote as an un-accountable democracy, for a Nation that is NOT a Democracy, but a REPUBLIC.

As a result, THE NINE SUPREMES commonly vote 5 to 4 on most issues. Constitutionality is seldom a consideration, and their up-coming ruling on Obama”care” will prove my point.

Now is the time to stand and deliver to address our grievances to the dictates of the Left.

Oppose the dictates of Dictator Baby-Doc Barack!

Our ONLY chance to ABOLISH Obama”care” rests with THE NINE SUPREMES, because Romney will be defeated by Obama.

IMHO, if Romney is anointed as the RNC Nominee, THE main issue in the National Election, Obama”care,” will be taken off the campaign table. Hence, Romney will not only lose, but suffer another crushing, and sadly typical, RINO defeat.

To those who want poster ideas, here are a few ideas for demonstration posters:

Obama”care” was robo-signed by Congress, and is therefore illegal.

Obama”care” was 2700 pages long, and is still being written, but not by Congress: witness the forced contraception coverage recently added by HHS Regulators.

Obama”care” has caused “The Catholic Spring.”

Obama”care” reduces competition, and therefore is illegal by the 1890 Sherman Anti-Trust Law.

Obama”care” is designed to be a US Federal Government monopoly, with no competition.

Obama”care” also is illegal according to the US Constitution, because it violates our freedom of choice.

Will THE NINE SUPREMES notice any of these three violations? I seriously doubt it.

Impeached Bill Clinton proved that the US President is above US Federal Law, so anything that the President wants he gets, regardless of the Federal Laws that he has violated.
