A recent survey of 1,007 nationally representative Americans ages 18 and over suggests that most of us believe a doomsday scenario of some kind will occur in the next twenty five years.
With three million preppers in the U.S. getting ready for widespread disaster, gun sales sky rocketing, and retail precious metals purchases at unprecedented levels, the results of the survey performed by Kelton Research on behalf of National Geographic shouldn’t be surprising.
Among other things, the survey asked respondents to choose which natural or man-made doomsday scenarios they believed are most likely to happen in the United States.
The result suggest that Americans are more aware of the dangers facing our fragile society today than ever before.

Different folks are trying to pin the feeling on various different things, everything from a terrorist attack to an asteroid strike.
13% will be the first wave of zombies.
I’d add war hitting closer to home to the list. I’d also move the date to within 5 years.
I've got plenty of stuff in the fan without any fancy disasters.

Steve, I have a Special Forces Friend who lives in Kalispell Montana He just called me with major news…… He has a Friend who works in the Prison System in Montana. They have been told by Big Gov to be ready for an event to take place from March 13-23 this event will be very earth shattering. They have been told to stock up on 6 Months worth of Food, Diesel, Medical Supplies, Water and other needed supplies! This SF Friend is not a Person who gets his feathers ruffled. He was shocked to say the least!

March 11, 2012 - Shortly before arriving in the United States on 3/3/12, I awoke from a vivid dream of an 8.0 quake, centered in the beautiful State of California. Within a matter of minutes, I received a communication from Prophetess Susan O’marra in New York, describing the exact same dream of an 8.0 quake, which she had at exactly 8:00 AM
In both of our dreams, no time frames where given. I had not planned on making a public statement regarding this dream, until a 7.1 quake shook the Vanuatu Islands on March 9. This quake in the South Pacific is prophetically significant. In the early 90s the Lord spoke to me that sometime in the future a large California quake would be preceded by an earthquake in Vanuatu measuring 7.1 - 7.2. Although several quakes over the last decade have fit this description, none of them were accompanied by a rhema warning.
If you are California resident, as a precautionary measure I would advise that you keep some extra drinking water on hand, and store a case of bottled water in the trunk of your car. Also, I would advise that you prepare a small back-pack or carrying case by your door, filled with all of the personal items and necessary medications needed in the event of an emergency. This is just a precaution, but I would advise that you remain on alert for the next thirty days - through Passover.
This is not a prophetic warning of an impending earthquake. This is simply a precautionary word of counsel and wisdom, as we observe the signs in the sun, moon and stars. The 7.1 Vanuatu quake occurred only a matter of hours after a major solar flare hit the earth, and the sun continues to erupt. Is it by accident that these events are occuring on the first anniversary of the Great Japan Quake? I do not think so. Remember, I was there during the great quake in Japan on March 11. I am speaking out of love and experience, it is better to be prepared for what is coming. I believe that much intercession for California is needed over the next 30 days. An 8.0 is too large. Prayer can change the equation, bring down the magnitude, and save lives. Nothing is impossible for God.

What, no nuclear war? The Russians and Chinese, as well as the Israelis, Pakistanis, and Indians, are gearing up for just that. The nuclear fallout response is fairly vague.
I’m impressed - 51% believe we’ll have a financial collapse. I didn’t think the American sheeple were even paying attention to current events.
It’s too bad people think that a total financial collapse is likely. It is almost impossible under our system.
A collapse would have to be societal, violent in nature. That’s very unlikely too.
As for financial collapse, no. We can print to infinity to pay our bills, and infinity is not required. The math indicates that about 40-45% of our collective wealth can be stolen over the next 10 years to get us out of the situation. That’s about 3.2-3.4% a year. That’s doable in the boiling frog sense and shouldn’t cause a collapse, especially in this over-medicated welfare state.
I’m not saying things won’t get ugly, that’s why I moved to the country a couple of years ago. but financial collapse?
No, barring a huge natural catastrophe, and that can happen any day, including the end of the world, in which case, preparations won’t matter, except for those religious in nature of course.

Re your post, we’ll know quite soon if there is anything to it. I’m doing nothing about it though as I predict March will pass without incident.
The dollars the Fed continues to print and monetize have value only because the dollar is the world’s reserve currency.
Once nations stop having to convert their currency into dollars to buy oil, the dollar’s value will dive. It’s already happening.
It may not be an overnight catastrophe like in 1929, but I’m sure tough times are coming. It has already happened to the British pound. Those who ignore history are condemned to repeat it.
George Soros will make it happen if a crisis is needed to suspend the election this year if it looks like Obama will be voted out.
So I guess the best thing to do is to go on the way we are going, no budgets, spend spend spend with bread and circuses for all. Maybe ‘Bammy’ truly can get us all unicorns!
I don’t have any great sense of absolute certainty about it either.
However, I have had an INCREASING SENSE OF LOOMING SUPER DRAMAS ON THE VERY NEAR HORIZON for some months.
I have one Friend/Christian Brother back east on a missionary furlough 2 months of training and deputation. He’s due back in May. I was concerned when he left that he be able to get back safely.
Joya is headed to the Southeast shortly. I’ve been concerned about her trip from her beginning to plan for it.
I don’t know if these heightened concerns are from my spirit or my psyche or a combination or what.
There’s a Wild At Hear trip up to Colo around the first week in May. I feel a bit better about that but somewhat wary.
Certainly Netanyahu saying he’ll have to strike Iran before the SElection is a sobering prospect as I’m totally convinced that will evolve rapidly into WW3. Thankfully, he also said it wouldn’t be in a matter of weeks but months off.

I agree. The Soviet Union stretched it out for decades. Under any scenario, I cannot picture any catastrophic financial collapse.
The evil powers-that-be will stretch out our suffering for decades. We will likely morph into a slowly dying socialist h*ll.
But we will at least all have unicorns.

Blam gave me an extra day on the stock market and I was able to dump an unproductive stock before the market plunged. Now I should probably try and get the money out of the account before the electrons disapear.
