Is There a Doctor in the House?
Conservative Outcry ^ | 2/26/12

The patient is in a fragile state and taking a turn for the worst.  Foreclosures continue to rise, unemployment remains unbearable, gas prices are rising and are expected to go to historic levels, our enemies mock us and our allies fear us, the Constitution is being shredded and the ever-increasing deficit will destroy us. Yes, the patient is the United States. Who would you most trust as the “doctor?

Doctor Obama’s solution is simple and straightforward. Apply a tourniquet around the patient’s neck and keep on tightening it.

Mitt Romney says he “severely” disagrees with Doctor Obama. He thinks he has it all under control. He doesn’t like Obama’s idea of a tightly turned tourniquet around the neck. He wants a less-tightly turned tourniquet, one that is just tight enough to stop the blood flow.  No one has ever shown me how Romney is much different than Obama except that Romney is white and has actually held a job or two in his life. Their policies are all but identical no matter what campaign rhetoric they spew. Actions always speak louder than words and their actions in office differ only by a matter of degree.

Ron Paul, a real M.D., would like to try a radical new treatment from the past, apply leeches to drain the evil humours. It would, in this day and age, be a radical treatment and certainly would have some benefits. Those benefits, however, would be moot since his overall treatment regimen would also kill the patient. Paul’s idea of returning to a limited, Constitutionally-restrained government is just what the doctor ordered, so to speak. His ideas regarding foreign policy, however, are a disaster waiting to happen. Paul is fine with a nuclear armed Iran. Mushroom clouds over Israel and American cities are not a cure but a death sentence. In Paul’s case, nuclear medicine would be a very, very bad thing. He should stick with his specialty, being a baby doctor.

Rick Santorum recognizes the ill health of the patient and would apply a band-aid to slow the bleeding and pray for the patient’s recovery. He would pray the rosary, sing hyms, go to mass and hold novenas. It has a chance of working, I guess. Santorum would at least follow the physician’s principle of “first, do no harm.” The patient may not make a full recovery but at least would not continue its rapid decline.

Newt Gingrich, like Ron Paul is also doctor. He holds a Ph.D. in history. The ailments of this patient are definitely in this doctor’s specialty.  He has seen these symptoms before and has successfully treated this very same patient in the past. He knows what needs to be done and has outlined the necessary steps to see that the patient makes a full recovery. Yes, this doctor has a few personal issues but if you are going to have open heart surgery do you tell the most qualified doctor in the hospital that you refuse his treatment because he likes chasing nurses? Not a chance. Give Doctor Newt the scalpel and let him get to work doing what he does best.

That was great! Doctor Newt - just who we need!

I’ve put it a little more bluntly:

I’m absolutely convinced that Newt Gingrich is the junkyard dog we need to rip Obama a new one and send him running back to his Chicago slime pit with his tail between his legs.

Newt has plenty of DC experience as Speaker, executive ability from his many enterprises, and a silver tongue that’s razor sharp!

He’s fast on his feet, delivers it straight up with no hemming and hawing, and is often witty. His work with American Solutions was very impressive and as we’ve seen recently, Newt is able to put into words what the vast majority of Americans really believe. His fevered brain also has plenty of ideas for making government work better for taxpayers.

Is Newt pure as the new driven snow? No - none of the presidential candidates are in line for sainthood. Whatever Newt’s “baggage”, it pales next to Obama’s habitual lying and outright corruption - and unlike Obama, Newt is 100% American! Newt is like Larry the Cable Guy: send him to DC and he’ll “Get ‘er done” for all of us. Newt has “Been there, done that!

Junkyard dogs are not show dogs, but they’ll save your bacon! I am damn mad at what Obama and his bootlickers have stolen from us - you should be too - and I want someone to represent me.

Newt Gingrich is that man! Sic ‘em, Newt!
