“FBI Seizes Computers of Portland Blogger For Allegedly Posting Sheriff Death Threat”
POSTED BY SARAH MIRK ON WED, FEB 22, 2012 AT 11:59 AM

SNIPPET: “FBI agents swooped into a home on NE 65th and Prescott Monday morning, seizing computers the agents believe were used to post death threats about controversial Arizona sheriff Joe Arpaio.

The accused blogger, Clifton Dawayne Brooks, allegedly ran a blogspot site called “Targeting Cops.” According to the FBI search warrant, he is an active commenter on various Portland sites, including Indymedia and here on Blogtown, using variations of the name “Damos Abadon.” Our then-news editor Matt Davis wrote a story about Clifton Brooks’ altercation with police on SE Belmont back in 2008.”

He should have just stuck to making death threats against normal citizens instead of one of our “super citizens” and odds are very little if anything would have been done, and I’m sure the FBI wouldn’t have jumped into action like someone just tossed a beehive in their laps. Equal protection indeed.

Read the search warrant. It doesn’t say anything about “super citizens.”

I'm sure it doesn't considering "super citizens" is a term I use when the government provides greater and better legal protections to certain classes of people than others. One example is the so called "hate crime" laws which increase the penalty for crimes against certain people because of their race, ethnicity, sexual orientation etc. Hence these people become "super citizens" in the eyes of the law. Another example, as we see in this case, are when the government "hops to it" to protect it's own -Elected Officials, Judges, Law Enforcement, Social Workers etc- When it normally would do little or nothing for the same crime against an average citizen. Hence these folks are also "Super Citizens".
