Rick Perry: Americans should be 'unhinged' by decision to reject Keystone pipe path
Fox News ^ | January 18, 2012 | Nick Kalman

..."It doesn't surprise me but it's again -- the president's focused more on the next election than on the next generation.

"Getting this country independent of foreign sources of crude from countries that are not our friends is really problematic. So this Canadian oil, there's a possibility we could lose it to China with that decision so I hope Americans will really become unhinged with that decision because it is a really bad decision for our country, for energy independence and sends a horrible message at a time that were headed to $4 and $5 oil or excuse me $4 or $5 gasoline, to have a neighbor who's willing to sell us crude that is available."

The Perry Plan: Energizing American Jobs and Security

The Perry Economic Plan: Cut, Balance and Grow

[snip] “Dynamic Tax Score for RickPerry.org, Inc. Proposal:

Based on the higher GDP estimates forecast by the dynamic scoring exercise, the Perry proposal will not only lead to an increase in overall economic activity and jobs, but will also lead to higher federal revenues in the long term. In fact, the analysis suggests that revenues could be as much as $406.8 billion higher than under the static model by 2020, and could be as high as 19.5 percent of GDP.

The dynamic score of the proposal suggests that lower flatter taxes could generate both more revenue than the current tax code, and significantly more economic growth over time. With increasing demands on the Federal government from growing entitlements, higher pension expenses and interest on the debt, it will be necessary to increase the size of the economy – and the tax base – in order to generate significantly higher revenues. Table 7 shows how the Perry proposals would do this over a seven year period.’ [snip] Tax Proposal Score PDF

I think those paying attention pretty much are.

Too bad the “paying attention” section is so small.

Why do you think Obama is president?

I feel like a Jew in early 30’s Germany.

Hey, it was reported today that 48% think Osama is doing a wonderful job. We are doomed.

That route goes right to Texas. Obama just hates Perry and sure doesn't want him in the Prez mix.

Obama doesn't know what the hell to do with Newt...but you can be sure Obama is plotting....and it's dirty.

That number was once in the 60s who thought so.

There is hope.

The problem is that Romney is beginning to pull away in polls among Republican primary voters...

He appears to be strengthening. The non Romneys appear to be weakening...whether individually or as a group.

And no, that is not Rick Perry’s fault nor his supporters fault.

I thought Gov. Perry did great in Monday’s debate. I wouldn’t mind seeing him surge.

Gov. Perry's already battling the Obama Cabal. He's fighting the Energy Dept, Commerce Dept., Education Dept., the EPA, Homeland Security.....well, I guess just about all parts of the Federal BOOT pressing down on Texas (on all the states). And he's stopped them in some cases and keeps pressing forward in other suits.

Hell, he's even run a campaign against David Axelrod and won.

Currently our redistricting map here in Texas is tied up in the Supreme Court (this will bump Texas out of the Super Tuesday vote) and our Photo Voter ID Bill is sitting on Eric Holder's desk, awaiting his approval.

Attention Ginrich !

Add approval of the Keystone project to your day 1 list !

Even the unions are pissed about this...enough to be running radio ads about it.

The country would have a reprieve if Perry could get a foothold and battle Obama and then the K-Street-Wall Street gang. It would be something. But that is why he has been alternately attacked and ignored — the powers that be are not going to give that control up without a knock-down, drag-out battle.

It makes me sick that Perry has the answers and yet he's being rejected. I see no answers of substance coming from Newt. He talks great and he can provide us with hope but as far as having a solid foundation of accomplishment, it isn't there. He's all over the place.

Santorum does not have a good conservative voting record and yet both are polling better than Perry. I don't get it.

We say we want another Reagan and yet we're rejecting him.

And I think it will end as badly for us as it did for the Jews in Germany if it goes any longer than this year.

Sadly, I think the die is cast and the course set is not reversible without disaster. We are headed for the big rocks now.

Of the current field of pubbies only Gingrich understands how critical the situation really is and only with the help of an excellent VP and a willing congress can any of his ideas be executed to completion in time to do any good.

“I feel like a Jew in early 30’s Germany”.

...great analogy! I’m sure it was a tad worse for a Jew in the 30’s but we’re getting there.

Obama told people he would bankrupt the coal industry and coal users; no one would listen.

Tyrants usually speak ahead of time about their intentions.

It's sunset in America with the leadership we now have. "Leadership" in our party sit on their hands not endorsing the strongest candidate, the governor of Texas who has the platform and the record. I guess the Party has no time for conservatives.

The answer is to ignore the media - they can have all the dirt they want - screw’m - we just don’t listen - whether it’s true or not! Voters react to what they hear - we can see it in the polls - it’s nuts! mitt with his lying ads and the candidate drops accordingly. They are using voters as fiddles. They must be laughing their butts off! Probably taking bets on the side.

January 13, 2011 West Virginia: Agency Revokes Permit for Major Coal Mining Project “WASHINGTON — The Environmental Protection Agency revoked the permit for one of the nation’s largest mountaintop-removal coal mining projects on Thursday, saying the mine would have done unacceptable damage to rivers, wildlife and communities in West Virginia. It was the first time the agency had rescinded a valid clean water permit for a coal mine. …….”
