Apparently we'll be referring to Richard Nixon -- the nation's only President to resign in disgrace -- as "Tricky Dick" for another reason.
In the newly released biography Nixon's Darkest Secrets veteran Washington reporter Don Fulsom alleges the 37th President who served from 1969 to 1972 "may have had an affair with his best friend and confidant, a Mafia‑connected Florida wheeler-dealer named Charles 'Bebe' Rebozo who was even more crooked than Nixon" as reported by Tom Leonard for the Daily Mail:
Bebe Rebozo was a short, swarthy, good-looking Cuban-American businessman with a history of failed relationships with women and close alliances with Miami's Mafia chiefs. * * * According to the FBI, he had close links with Mob bosses such as Santo Trafficante, the Tampa Godfather, and Alfred "Big Al" Polizzi, a stooge of Meyer Lansky, the Cosa Nostra's financial brains. * * * When Rebozo started his own bank in Florida in 1964, Nixon — then a lawyer — wielded a golden shovel at the ground-breaking ceremony and became its first depositor.
And apparently Bebe made deposits -- so to speak -- with Nixon: "when Nixon became President, Rebozo got his own office and bedroom at the White House, and a security clearance that allowed him to go in and out without being logged by the secret service."
Just when you thought the political fraud called the U.S. government couldn't be any more corrupt.
Where was the freakin' FBI while the President of the United States was openly cavorting with a notorious mob figure? Oh yeah, the Bureau boys were busy covering up for their mobbed-up closet case Director.

Nixon may not have been overtly sexual, but he was intensely emotional. Nixon was a fighter and I believe it was his destruction by the left that has cowed republicans into being wimps ever since.
Nixon fought the left as a threat to the country, an approach we desperately need today. I’m a George W supporter, but I’d like to kick him for every time he folded his hands and said the liberals were wonderful, “we just have an honest difference of opinion”.

Nixon was a self-identified Keynesian. He may have postured as a fighter of the left but had no trouble imposing one of their favorite meadures wage and price-controls.
I could never understand WHY Julie Eisenhower voted AND SUPPORTED Obama in 2008 ... how could she support a political party (Democrat) when she knew how much they hated her father, President Nixon...

Speaking of Nixon, I was at the doctor's office this morning and he had a copy of the May-June issue of Duke Magazine in his lobby. They had an article of how Duke fought against having the Nixon library there.
The rest of the articles and notes about their alumni and students made me look at the cover again. I thought I might have picked up a copy of Pravda.

It’s only natural that a book like this would be published long after Nixon’s death.
You just gotta love the fact that books are written about people who are no longer around to defend themselves.
I was born in 1976 and I’m very familiar with many of Nixon’s quotes.
He's been pushing that line for some time now. See his articles at crimemagazine.com. He also calls Nixon a traitor and a wife-beater.
If someone was "UPI bureau chief" forty years ago and has been writing online blogs and humor books, and appearing on "miraculous cures" radio shows in more recent times, you have to consider the possibility that he may have a screw loose.
Anyone who saw him at his wife's funeral could attest to that, the man was absolutely heartbroken by her passing and it showed.
But what about taking the high road? If you spread unsubstantiated rumors, how can you object if the same kind of rumors are directed against candidates you support?
This has to be BS and total smear. If they had anything like this it would have landed on Nixon long ago.
